    I've used the right sized socket and a mallet on a few of mine. They definitely have to snap into place, or they're not in place. Viton o-rings and good grease(I used acdelco super lube) are a must as well. Most of the time the OE caps are fine, it's the O-rings and hose that dry and leak.

    I'd do them separate, especially if you have a hoist or trans jack. Most cherry pickers when set to the longest arm will have their hands full doing an IDI itself. With the arm any shorter then that I usually struggle with clearance. Unless you're using a gantry or jib crane, I'd do them separate.
