    Theres no lost cause. Hydroboost will brake harder with existing master and calipers/cylinders (my f350 was a prime example). I don't trust the parts listing for the 90's chevy vans.

    MC39309 lists for hydroboost w/rear disc elsewhere. May be bad listing. MC39435 is what I'm used to seeing on the 9200# GVWR. 1.313" bore. This is one i had swapped with a '93 vacuum master, most likely a MC39649 (1.25" bore) with no noticable difference in braking.

    Going from memory only, I believe the hydroboost master cylinder bores were larger. I bolted up a '93 vacuum master to my '91 chevy (factory hydroboost) so i know the physical fit was right. Brakes felt fine.

    Often it's the rubber mount donut that shrinks, and the bearing/shaft is left to hop around. If you buy the new bearing assembly, you may be able to swap the rubber alone easier that pressing a bearing off/on. That said, if it's an old tired bearing, change the whole thing.

    Basic keystone style rings (what the factory TiDi uses) are the default for industrial diesel engines. Like @FrozenMerc says... No need to reinvent the wheel.

    Hydroboost made the biggest difference of anything to do with brakes on my 95 F350 crew (on 35" tires).

    I used to drive an IDI/5spd/3.54 truck regularly. OD saw very sparse use. Basically the 4-lane highways only. Now with 35" tires, OD would be for some very fast driving.

    If it's electric signal, check rear the diff. The tone ring could be damaged, loose, or metal debris is rolling around in there. (Seen it happen before.)

    Pipe threads are tapered, so they can only be tightened up so far. Thats how it seals. If they weren't tapered the plug wouldnt stop - and drop right through the cover.

    You can put in as many pyrometers as you like. Large engines often have one per exhaust port, plus pre and post turbo.
