    1987 Ford Landmark 6.9 diesel

When I bought the 86 back in 2014, the Factory Filter was there, but the 2 hoses were connected together to by pass it. Later I installed a Racor, but the 500FG in it`s place, and new hoses. Can use a 2, 10 and I think a 15 micron filter element inside it. I also have a hand Primer Pump...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I have a 67 International 1 1/2 ton truck I bought back in 72. I used it as my DD, haul Hay and haul the Horses etc.... When i was working at a "JOB" dang that is a dirty word... :puke: wonder if they will*** it? I drove a 67 Ford F-600 with a 4-spd and 2-spd rear at work. I thought it would...

So what did you do with your truck today?

That sure is a Purdy Transmission. My own thoughts, I feel the T-19 is a stronger trans than the ZF-5 spd, just from things I have read. Could throw in a 3 spd Brownie behind it. Give you the OD, and also a lower 1st starting out with a load on a hill, and also in reverse, especially with a...

    Windshield leaks

Several years ago, I had Safe-Lite in Carson City cut out the Windshield. Then tape it in and drove home the 25 miles. Threw some Moving Blankets on the Hood, and my Wife and I removed the Windshield and set it aside. It does take 2 people to lift it off. I covered the interior with Tarps...

    Cleaning out Fuel Tanks

You can remove the Bed with a Cherry Picker, move the truck forward. ( I don`t know in Ohio with all the Salt/Rust) Pull the senders and look into the tanks to see what may be in there if anything. The Senders are in a depressed area of the tanks, and there is a Lock Ring that holds the Senders...

    Drive shaft play

Better check the U-Joints as well. You have to remove the DL anyway, not that hard to do them. I used the HF Ball Joint Press in my Vice to push the caps off and on. If you never done them, lots of good U-Tube Videos. Here is one I saved in my U-Joint Folder. Here is a vid on the carrier...

    Hard start

Try pouring cool water over the front of the Pump to see if that helps. As the Pumps wear the tolerance`s are are not as tight. When you shut off the hot engine the Pump gets heat soaked. The cool water tightens things up a bit. If that helps, then a new IP is in your future. It`s mentioned...

Rear Brakes on the 86 F-250, blew the R/R Hub Seal. Whada mess.

Back in December had one of the rear wheels lock up and skid as I pulled to a red light. This is something new, hadn`t done it before. At home shined a light at the back side of the backing plate, and was damp around the edge, plus saw oil specks under the fender opening and rubber splash...

    7.3 CA smog equipment

Better find out at the DMV CARB or what ever agency in charge of engine swaps. You don`t want to dump in a large sum of money and time and find out you cannot register it. Seems like I read a thread a while back a guy was jumping through hoops trying to get his project registered, and kept...
