It could be a PSD. That turbo diesel badge on the fender, usually came on the IDI Factory Turbo trucks, but I have seen them on a PSD also. 7 Lug F250 ???
They are considered a light duty F-250 (3/4 ton). Dad had one. 97 and 98 I think are the only years they called them an F-250. In 99 I think they started calling them the f-150 7700. Which is now the “heavy payload” option On the F-150. I know at least up until 2011. 7 lug was still an...- snicklas

My Excursion is leaf... Ford never put coils under an Excursion, even in 05, which is when the pickups switched to coils. 05 was the last year of the Excursion and they never made the switch. Red Truck conversion
Roof and back of the cab should be the color opposite the hood. In the case of these trucks, the dark blue and the red. Ours was dark brown. Most factory cooling stacks are set up that way. My 03 6.0 Excursion is: Grille, Trans, CAC, A/C, Rad, Fan even my 11 F-150 EB is: Grille, CAC, Trans, A/C, Rad, Fan That CAC is not as big on the EB as the 6.0. They do.... favorite paint scheme on my favorite body style.... That was a $1500 paint option in 1983... Also, make sure you get all the way around the window for her. 97 OBS PSD Hard Starting
So the extended cranking is purging the high pressure side? Would that be an O-Ring, or bad injector? We are both new to the 7.3PSD. We have had IDI's and my 6.0. If we can get a scanner on it, would we be able to "see" the leak? I know certain things in a 6.0 can show up as IPR Duty Cycle...- snicklas

OK all, this is outside of the ones I know how to work on….. My son as a 96 OBS Truck with a 97 OBS PSD installed. It has having a hard start issue. One odd thing about it is, ambient temp does seem to make a difference, but it doesn’t seem to be because of the Glow Plugs. He picked it up...- snicklas

The ranger would have only been used in the T-19 equipped trucks in the IDI's. They went between the removable bell housing and the transmission. A ranger would not work with a ZF-5, C-6 or E4OD, due to the integrated bell housing.- snicklas

The ultimate IDI starter?
The ultimate IDI starter for me would be, to find out what is on Slave Lake. Peg has put that starter on "cruise control" a bunch of times, with questionable batteries, and it just keeps going and going and going.......- snicklas

pre fill oil filter?
Well, if I am looking at the oil flow correctly, the oil pickup / oil pump draws from the pan, then the oil flows into the front header for the oil cooler, through the oil cooler (so that means the oil cooler is cooling unfiltered oil) to the rear header, which has the oil pressure regulator...- snicklas

Well, I grabbed my book…. Fuse 2 - Power point - floor console Fues 4 - Power point - I/P (Instrument Panel?) Fuse 12 shows it is for the Cigar Lighter / OBD2, so I would check that one… What I am seeing, the Cigar Lighter is the one that is down low on the dash, under the cup thrower…. The...- snicklas

Gelling could be the issue. For the OBD2 port, I think it shares the same fuse as the cigarette lighter…. I’ll have to walk out and grab my manual to see what those fuses are for…… the ones that are blown….- snicklas

The only suggested change I could see is to 3b Forget the fuel heater. If you still have the original fuel line heater, just leave it disconnected. If you have the 7.3 style head, still forget the heater, but get an 1/2 tap, tap the hole and plug the heater hole. The heaters really don't do...- snicklas
