    2020 and later 2.7 (feedback)

Did anything change in the 20-23 model year 2.7’s? If not, my dad has a 2.7 in his 16 f-150 SuperCrew. It has I think 65k or so on it. Never misses a beat. I think the only think he has had to do is replace the battery. Routing maintenance and it just plugs along. This is the only...

87 f250 fuse 15 blows when starting the truck

I think at this point, most of those vacuum sensors don't work anymore. We were wotking on my Son's 90 4x4 IDI. The lift pump had a pinhole in it, spraying fuel everywhere. To replace the lift pump, we pulled the vacuum pump for room. To test it out before we buttoned everything up, we fired...

    Door seals

Even though the seal looks good, has it shrank? I had a vehicle the seals were in good shape, but had shrunk, so the would not stay where they belonged, so I had an air gap…

What waste oil makes the best fuel

It’s not just the red color of off road they look for. The off road dye is a specific chemical composition along with the red color. They may look for the color, but there’s a test to detect the chemical composition. I’ve also heard it’s dosed at a level that it takes a 20 times dilution to make...

    My options, and your opinions.

That may very well be the case, if the crank and cam uses a chain and the drive the pump off the cam, that would make sense A Ford the crank and pump turn the same direction, because the crank gear drives the cam the other direction, and the cam gear changes the direction again for the pump…

    My options, and your opinions.

Just keep in mind, the 6.2/5 GM diesel does have a DB2, but the will not work on an IH/Ford 6.9/7.3. They have a different mount, and they turn the other way. The GM crank turns the opposite way of an IH/Ford….

Funny thing is, Pre-Covid… we had a BBQ Restaurant called just that Florida C r a c k e r BBQ. Never got in there to eat, but heard it was really good. (We normally do not go out to eat…. $$$ goes farther at the store for a large family)

    A/C compressor install

Actually, you can get an idler from autozone and it bolts in place of the compressor. Our 92 locked up, so we bought the idler, unbolted and strapped up the compressor and ran with it. On the vacuum pump, it will work on either side. I had a belt that was a bit too short, but needed the truck...

is it nessecary to lower the gearbox?

One thing I always remember that my dad told me whe we had a vehicle in the air…. Never put anything under the vehicle you are not willing to loose…. So when working on anything I keep that in mind. Like if I have a wheel off, I place my feet so if it falls my feet are out of the way of the...

It doesn’t matter which one you hook it to. I have a similar setup on my 6.0 Excursion (it doesn’t get driven as much as it used to). I’ve had mine connected to each side, at different times, with all the factory cables connected properly and see no difference. Now, it is connected to the...

Right front brake caliper always dragging-- ive changed everything!

OK… if I am reading the earlier posts correctly, the side you are questioning will not free spin, correct? The brake should not be dragging to the point that you can not turn the hub. Every one of these truck I have been around, 2 or 4 wheel drive, you should be able to spin the hub by hand…...
