So what did you do with your truck today?
Do you run heavy, or tow heavy with your truck. Noticed the "C" Plate..... all our trucks, even our 3/4 tons have always had "B" Plates... I'm in Indiana now, and ours go by weight, amd I think minimum truck plate for us is 11,000lbs.... Mom and Dad still live in Ill and his 1/2 ton has a...- snicklas

Transmission issues
Well, that is an 11-14 F-150 with the 6 speed in it. I would do a service on the transmission. If that is running empty, that's s bit high. I don't think I have ever seen over 170... I have 2 of these trucks.. and the transmission is solid. Is this yours or are you trying to pick it up...- snicklas

1993 F-350 tow rig
Yes, that 3rd nipple is an E4OD thing. When you put the new radiator in, just replace the hose that has the tee in it with just a straight hose. I did that on my E4OD with no issues. It was supposed to warm up the transmission fluid faster in the cold, but the orifice in the line really...- snicklas

Heat
Convection is how some engines are designed. The LoBoy that @chillman88 has doesn't have a water pump..... it just circulates as the temp of the water changes...... I believe IH called it a water siphon- snicklas

6.9 IDI-what kind of battery charger do I get from
I have not done any research lately.... I have seen a coupe Schumaker ones. I did see to avoid the cheap one from harbor freight... most of those are DOA.... I had a big one from harbor freight and I liked it.... but I mad the mistake of loaning it out... and it came back dead....- snicklas

I also recommend having at least 1 “dumb” charger around. I would also have a nice “smart” charger around. Right now I need to replace both my chargers. But a smart charger will only charge if the battery is in a certain set of parameters. I had a battery that was really dead... had a...- snicklas

88 7.3 donar truck for 92 has no PCM ZF5 swap
As discussed in the other posts, the only thing that "computer" controls is the E4OD transmission. That is a TCM not a PCM. EVERYTHING in the truck will work fine. Installing cab clearance lights
Squach has put some really neat lighting on his Silver Truck. He is OCD in his work, and it shows. I like what he ahs done on the headache rack and the bar above the bumper. The Brick and the OBS have the same body lines.... except that little extra crease in the 96-97 doors A Bull has different body lines than the Brick/OBS. Bull is my favorite body, and that is the first thing I notice....- snicklas

What turbo is this?
That's a RayJay turbo. One of the kits available, back in the day, but not one of the more common ones. I think I've only ever heard of/seen 5-6 since I've been around the IDI's.- snicklas
