the half cuts i seen where in the $3k range. basically the nose of the vehicle with the engine/trans/tcase and all the wiring needed but the body is cut off behind the t-case so they can import them as parts and not whole cars. there is a 2.4L and a 3.0L diesel i believe that was available in...

    6.9 idi in a 4runner

if i was going to build a diesel 4runner the last engine on my mind would be a 6.9/7.3 due to the size and weight. id be looking more towards an OM617 mercedes or even a half cut from an importer from florida. you could get a JDM halfcut with a factory installed yota diesel and everything would...

    Firewall reinforcement plate question

put the big one back on. looks like someone decided to modify it as the clutch master cylinder holes are all "waller'ed out" and yes thats a technical term...you can use that... just put some fender washers on the master cylinder studs and call it good. or weld up the holes and re-drill them...

The quest for a better paint job: Step 1 Paint Booth

For what it's worth...when I painted my samurai I sprayed everything down with the water hose so the floor and walls were damp. I had no issues with the paint and no issues with overspray in the air either.

So, i got into an accident today...

wow i am surprised no one on here mentioned to check the axle itself and make sure its not bent. i know its a D50 but taking a direct hit to the wheel suspension puts a ton of stress right at the pivot. ive seen a D50 axle beam bend and push the tire back into the fender well from a hit like that
