also that drivers window issue (if its electric) is the little barrels in the motor are probably gone and have crumbled. you can find these in the help section on the parts store...or you can buy a window motor rebuild kit from ebay cheap.

never had any issue with enginetech parts... what i will say is enginetech is just a reseller... they are not a manufacturer. they are just reboxing stuff from sealed power...federal mogul...KB...etc..

For what it's worth...when I painted my samurai I sprayed everything down with the water hose so the floor and walls were damp. I had no issues with the paint and no issues with overspray in the air either.
my old garage used aircraft cable and some large blue tarps for moving walls. when i go to paint my dually im tempted to buy one of those portable canvas garages and put it outside next to my garage.
the adapters are designed for the loads... i see no issue with using them...or with your logic...
but to me personally i would pick either or and not both. seems like a major pain in the male member to have to go through all that work before a roadtrip only to do it again later. my CCLB 4x4...
wow i am surprised no one on here mentioned to check the axle itself and make sure its not bent. i know its a D50 but taking a direct hit to the wheel suspension puts a ton of stress right at the pivot. ive seen a D50 axle beam bend and push the tire back into the fender well from a hit like that
