had to repair one of my rear doors...
Got all the doors in primer... got the insides painted... got all the jambs painted..
started throwing color at it...
then some clear..and started putting on trim

i know this is an old thread but im finally back to working on the truck.
I got it into my garage and started striping down the cab.
I built a rolling stand to hold all the acres of doors...

The firewall on an OBS is different from an 83-87. The plate I make a sell will do no good. The pedal assembly has the support built into it. If yours is having issues you have bigger problems. Broken pedal assembly....Bracket that holds the dash to the firewall broke off...Etc...
I've talked with C&P machine here in Fort Wayne. they seem to have a handle on idi diesel heads. the other one ive been told is a good shop is Hart's machine in Cecil,OH
nothing wrong with the electric fuel pump. in fact it can help you bleed air from the return lines without the engine running. that's a pretty common upgrade.
You will be hard pressed to find an electric fan setup that will move the amount of air needed for the IDI.
The vac pump you could switch to electric. The dash vents are all run by vacuum. So you eliminate the pump and vents won't work properly.
hate to say it but just because you replaced it doesnt mean the new one didnt go bad...quality in electrical equipment has gone way down hill in the past 10 years
OK time for an update... Since I was stuck at home for the 4th I managed to get some work done on the truck.
Swapped the drivers side rear door to a cleaner one...has a few dents but less rust.
