There's actually two gears. One in the tcase and one on the cable itself.
How many teeth are on the drive gear inside your transfer case? (possible options are 6, 7, or 8 teeth)
What is the axle gear ratio?
How many tire revolutions per mile? (Look on your tire manufacturers web site)

I did something similar to you with my '89 F350. I also eliminated the switching tank stuff and ran an external fuel pump mounted on the frame that pumps fuel the front tank to the back. I also swapped in a 38 gallon rear tank. I should have just ditched the front tank but its nice to have 55...
Yeah the brackets do look simple. My brother and I actually talked about making these a couple months ago but didnt know how to make the plastic shrouds.
Lets assume a tank holds 5000 gallons. At 6.9lbs per gallon of diesel (googled it) that's about 35k lbs. Reasonable for a truck to carry 35k lbs? Assume 5 gallons of gas was left in a tank. 5 gallons of gas out of 5000 gallons of diesel is .1%.
The relay kit that Bronco graveyard sells is a cheap Chinese kit. The relays are not common and if one goes out you'll have to order it or rewire the plug. I thought it was the way to go after I had a fire on the fuse box last year. It has worked for a year now with no issues.
I have an '89 F350 with an '89 12v Cummins. I have a zf5 with the stock bw1356 tcase. Personally I'd just run the 1356 It's a pretty strong tcase and only has minor issues. Not to mention your truck is already setup for it and it's a pain in the ass to mount a np205 behind a zf5. You have to...
Did some research and PMF rsk is a bolt on. http://www.pmfsuspension.com/1992-97-OBS-RSK-SD-Spring-Hanger-Conversion-Kit_p_13.html

You know I was just looking up this info myself a couple hours ago. Thinking of doing a rsk but really dont want any lift. I was thinking about going with 05+ Superduty axles to get a better ride but I just bought new wheels and tires a couple months ago so that's out of the question.
The first thing you said was that you could use steel line. I've just had good luck with the aluminum fuel line so that's what I've been using.
Btw a Bronco tank is 33 gallons not 38. But its easy to install and worth it the effort.
I hate using steel brake line as fuel line. It's terrible to bend where you need it because its too strong. I used aluminum fuel line on 2 of my Cummins powered Ford trucks. On my crew cab I used a 38 gallon tank and used an electric pump to pump out the 17 gallons in the front tank to the back...
Thanks. But when someone states the exhaust brake works a couple times and fails I call bullshit. If you actually drove a truck with one you would be impressed. Mine is used daily and has helped a lot with towing. But my experience may be invalid because my post count is low.
No need to...
