So iv spotted a problem, the thin plate that goes on flywheel bolts its like a spacer of somekind is not there where its the south bend flywheel. The LUK instructions says i have to have it, well do i. What will happen if i dont have it otherwise it looks like ill have to find one on ebay and...
What kind of hp will the LUK 07-255 support. I have the pump about 1/2 turn from bottoming out and the hypermax turbo kit. Will the LUK work or would i be better off keeping the SB 13in
The clutch disk is supposed to have friction material on both sides right? Well theres literally none left on the one side its metal on metal. Unfortunatly when the throwout bearing went out it grinded the clutch fingers pretty badly so im 100% in need of a complete clutch kit. Plus it doesnt...
OK so i think i figured it out. I believe i have the 13in south bend smf clutch kit in there which makes sense considering the friction disk is 12.75in in diameter and theres a SB logo on there. So heres the deal just the SB clutch kit is around 450-475$ without the flywheel and i would...
It seems the idi dmf has the springs inside the flywheel. From all the images i can find the dmf sticks out a good bit from the ring gear and mine doesnt so im thinking it might be a solid. What is the best clutch for the idi. Mine has the pump turned all the way up with a hypermax turbo kit...
There are no numbers on anything anywhere except the friction plate there's a South bend logo and there phone number I don't know if it's an aftermarket clutch or not can't tell
So I can't tell if this is a dual mass flywheel or a single mass flywheel. The throwout bearing came out in a hundred pieces so I took the clutch off to inspect and if I'm not mistaken it's totally shot. The last picture it seems there is no clutch material left it's metal on metal. Found the...
I think i might just end up getting a new pump as the cleaning method isnt working. It has an old hypermax non gated turbo on it with a straight pipe and no head studs. Would the engine handle the 110cc pump or should i stick with the 90cc
Well i put an entire thing of injector cleaner said to treat 300gal in the 30gal tank i cant imagine it not cleaning ill go ahead and try the atf and see if that works.
So the stalling of this thing is getting real bad. It starts right up and runs great plenty of power. It just stalls when deaccelerating iv tried all kinds of injector cleaner and nothing seems to be working. Is there something in the top cover that i can take apart and clean or replace or does...
The master is brand new so is all the brake fluid, there are no leaks anywhere. Rear brakes are definetly working as if i smash the pedal on a slick road itll lock the rear tires up. Pedal is instantly firm not soft at all anywhere in the travel and stays firm.
The only thing i find strange is with the old booster the first bit of brake pedal travel was a lot easier and braked harder, but then i would run out of assist and it wouldnt slow down much at all even with heavy pressure.
Also with the old booster with the truck on i would have to wait 5-10 seconds for the assist to come back after one pedal push now with the new booster i can press it a bunch and theres little to no lagg. So 100% the old booster was bad. Its possible the vacuum pump is a little week but at the...
With the old booster it wouldnt go to the floor but it would get harder and harder to keep the pedal down to the point it was manual brakes. With the new booster it doesnt do that anymore i can keep the pedal down and it doesnt get any harder i can even push it further and still have assist.
