    Project CrewCab

The rear driveshaft I got is from a 06 f350 with the 5.4l, auto, crewcab, long box. Both ends had flanges on them, I removed the flange at the transfer case end and got a Neapco 2-1435 conversion u-joint to go from 1350 to 1410. I was told they do make a slip yoke for the bw1356 that accepts a...

    Project CrewCab

Got a bit more done with the truck over the past week, my girlfriend, brother and I pushed the truck out of the overhang and in front of the donor truck for the engine swap. Pulled the front clip off and lifted the engine out and fought the engine hoist across the ground till we got the...

    Project Big Red

I believe I paid around 470 cad for it, I probably could of got it cheaper if I ordered it online but I went through are local lordco dealer. As for the kit, I wouldn't buy it again, install wasn't bad but the ubolt exhaust clamps are garbage, I don't like the 2 piece down pipe, it's 409ss so...

    Project CrewCab

Started putting in the front fuel tank, I belive this is a 22 gallon plastic tank which was a factory option on some trucks, I got this off of a 90 f350 diesel truck and it bolts on just like it was ment to be. Also got the dash pulled out and wiring stripped off and ready to modify to work...

    Project CrewCab

Old cab mounts vs new cab mounts, this should help keep the cab from rubbing on the frame. Had to swap out the back crossmember to one in better shape as where the rubber mounts sat was rusted pretty thin.

    Project CrewCab

Front end pretty much in, just need to drop the engine in center the axle and mount the tracbar bracket. Got the box pulled and sold, rear-end striped down and gasser stuff gone, lines, wiring, tanks and shocks all removed and of course found more cracks in the frame... not sure if I should...

    Project CrewCab

Haven't updated in a while but I have been making progress. Before putting the buckets on for mock up I had to remove a few rivets including this large huck rivet and a smaller one further back. After that I got the buckets and radius arm bracket clamped on for mock up After massively...

    F350 to f250

The f350 crossmember has the holes for the ttb brackets, all you need to do is remove the 2 rear leaf spring bolts to frame, 2 front shackle bolts to frame, 2 pivot bolts in the center, remove steering from gear box and disconnect brake lines and pull the axle out. 8 bolts hold the 2 brackets...

    Hydroboost problem???

You can change the accumulator if it's bad that's what I did. Two ways to check if it's bad, start the truck then turn it off and see if you have a few brake assists, the other way is the accumulator should not be loose or wiggle around. When mine was bad I couldn't find a new one so I went to...

    Project CrewCab

That big crack in the last picture is right where the drivers feet are, I'll drill a hole at the end of the crack and try to get the sides of the crack lined up, I'm just not sure what caused it to crack that bad. I know the cab mounts are toast as part of the cab has been hitting and rubbing on...

    Project CrewCab

Found some cracks in the cab floor and tunnel area that I'll have to try and weld up, any advise how to fix and weld the giant crack?

    Project CrewCab

Small update, got the front end pressure washed and mostly degreased, started removing rivets and bolting the engine frame mounts on. Also enlarged the steering box holes to 9/16" to accept the M14 superduty gear box bolts, anyone doing this swap will require longer bolts as the obsframe is...

    Project CrewCab

I will definitely be v grove it, should I drill a hole at the end of the crack? Never understood how that stops the crack, wouldn't welding over the end of the crack get rid of it? I don't know if my 120v wire feed is strong enough to do that thick of material but I do have a 200A tig/stick...

    Project CrewCab

Figured I would start a build thread to track my progress and hopefully help others in a few of the mods I have planned. This is going to be a slow build but hoping to have it driving before winter. So to start off, got a 95 F350 460 4x4 E4OD CrewCab with a bad motor in it. Donor vehicle is...

Rear leaf spring bushings... molded vs common?

No those are not molded in bushings, all the leaf spring bushings are the standard type, the shackle bushing can be molded or not molded in the rear and it's the shackle to frame bracket one you need to look at. Molded does not have a metal shell, regular has the metal shell like the pictures of...

Rear wheel bearing/seal conversion.. new to old style?

The old style parts will work just fine on the newer axle. You can also put the the original bearing in without the baffle and all that will happen is you tire moves in a tiny bit.

Have you looked into the superduty pumps? Some use the c2 pumps but others have a c3 I believe pump which puts out a bit higher pressure and flow rate and have a remote res.

Rear leaf spring bushings... molded vs common?

Everyone one I have ever seen is molded in, I'd go with the molded in one.

    Water in fuel circuit

There is only a transistor or two in there with a few resistors, I ripped one apart awhile ago, the water isn't conductive enough to turn the light on so they use the transistor to amplify the signal and drive the light. The 4 pins are Black/Lt blue, from ignition switch, grounded while...

    Gear ratio input

Most of my driving is going to be in town driving and a little bit of highway (@60Mph) and at this point no towing, still thinking 4.10 with 35" tires would be good unless anyone think 3.73 would be better.

    Gear ratio input

I've been playing with the gear calculator and at highway speeds it's only a 200 rpm difference from 3.55 to 3.73 and 200 rpm from 3.73 to 4.10 or 400 rpm difference from 3.55 to 4.10. I'm going to be starting a build thread on this soon, my plan so far is to put a 2004 rear end in which is...
