    AIRDOG + IDI ANYONE?

@Diesel_brad- -Yeah, Ive been wondering about that... Is it a viscosity issue or chemical? Gasoline is is higher on the solvent scale, but is that the problem? @tractorman86- So far (knock on wood) my Holley Red has performed flawlessly for about a year now with an unregulated pressure...

    Power steering pump problem

If I was in this situation I think I would just replace the pump- they're inexpensive enough to justify a new one when balanced against the pain in the ass-ness of doing a helicoil and the possibility (probability in my case) of not getting it set just right and having to get a new pump...

    wellman or motorcraft?

On an '89 7.3 N/A with properly working controller, I installed a fresh set of Wellmans... The first failure occured three days later, and within two weeks three more failed. The tips stayed on and didn't swell, but as far as I'm concerned they aren't worth the cost of the fuel burned to get up...

    Turning up IP primary pressure?

OK, this is just a theoretical, shoot from the hip, knee-jerk response to the symptoms and I assure you that I'm no diesel guru, BUT- more than anything else, it sounds like something in your fuel system is gelled or solid when cold (no smoke, right?) but when on the heater, or a hot restart...

    Electrical mayhem

X2 on the bad ground... What got me to thinking was when you said that it wouldn't jump from your bosses truck, and the lights go to nothing when you turn the key. I seem to remember these particular symptoms... If it was me, I'd unhook both batteries and charge them while I checked the...

    In line fuel filters?

NAPA, 5/16", get two. In order from the selector valve will be a 30micron, then a 10 micron. Do you run an electric fuel pump? If so then place the 30 between the valve and the pump, and the 10 after the pump. If using the OEM lift pump then replace the vertical hard line between the lift pump...

    >>> WARNING function fsock open ??? <<<

OK, I'm getting it also, but so quick & gone that it just looks like a nasty transition to a new screen. Different internet connection types (dial up, DSL, high speed cable, wi-fi, satellite, etc..) and how fast and/or efficiently your machine & browser software are configured all play a part in...

-Instead of a CDR or Road Draft Tube??

Sorry, didn't mean to be a bore, I must have missed it. I was essentially thinking out loud in my last post and had not searched the archives for all relevant data pertaining to the exhaust pipe as a termination point for a RDT. In the future I'll try to ask only original, never asked before...

-Instead of a CDR or Road Draft Tube??

I don't think that I have come across any threads yet regarding the termination of a RDT into the exhaust. I can envision a fitting welded into a hole in the exhaust pipe, but passage of the exhaust gasses would have either a vacuum or pressurization (depending on the insertion angle of the...

-Instead of a CDR or Road Draft Tube??

VAPOR CANISTER I know Henry is an '89, but is this supposed to take the place of the CDR on later models? I ask because I saw this as I was looking through JC Whitney's site and have never heard mention of it here. They list them for gassers and our trucks but I don't recall having seen this...

    Really, REALLY, stupid question, but....

@nicknd- How could that question possibly be stupid? Especially since I had to ask the exact same thing, and I have NEVER done anything stupid... Welcome to the board! @papastruck- It seems like all my life I have been fixing other peoples problems, couple that with an inexplicable dislike...

    94 IDI WATER/METH MUST READ

I responded to the other thread today about this, but since crazy2 isn't looking there any longer and asked for an update, I'll paste it here- Water/Alcohol Injection Results When I first installed the system I was concerned about over injecting but it seems that my concerns were unfounded...

    tach sensor wire strain relief?

Like Brian Edwards said with the RTV, but I'll take it a little further...Taper the blob so that it comes to a point about an inch above the face of the sensor, and do it so that the wires come out at the "point". This lets the wires flex gradually, moving away from the face, with complete...

    water injection

Water/Alcohol Injection Results ;Sweet When I first installed the system I was concerned about over injecting but it seems that my concerns were unfounded. To start I used two .008" nozzles and one .012". No difference in performance or mileage was noted. Next I went to two .012's and one .008...

Leave the factory intake snorkle or run the box open?

No EGT's sorry, don't have a gauge, but we did put 220 miles on Henry today spraying merrily away with three .015" nozzles @70psi while wading through some typical tropical Florida frog chokers... It seemed to make him happy, as he never skipped a beat. The cheesy Advance-Discount hood scoop...

Brand new injectors o rings leaking

REALLY?! Wow, I guess I got extremely lucky.. I just cleaned mine well and when I reinstalled them I used vaseline to help them slide into place because the fit was very tight. None of them have leaked a drop, same for the return lines.. Since I didn't get a "kit" from anywhere and 3/16"...
