    I would hit the switch once I was hitting the grade and then turn it off soon after reaching the top. My purpose for installing the kit was to reduce egts due to my turning up the fuel rate and if any hp were added then all the better.

    What I need to do is find a consistant grade and set my poorman's cruise control ;) and then hit the switch with a 50/50 mix and then see what happens to the speedo. I could try to find a dyno but that would be too presice cookoo and wouldn't want that LOL .

    I think the real test will be the summer heat and I have yet to try a 50/50 water to alky mix. After I get the gauges installed I'll know some hard facts. $180 for a 200 degree drop in egts seems worth it just by itself if that what it turns out to be. We shall see :Sly .

    Thanks Duke, The boost switch that activates injection is adjustable from 4 to 15lbs and I think its factory set at 10lbs. The weather here(Twin Falls Idaho) is cold and rainy so I haven't been using the kit much unless there is a good grade. Next stop Boise.

    I just ordered a kit for $231 from www.coolingmist.com and I should get it by Friday. I'm hoping it will cool the egts on the grades I pull. Of course if it adds a few more ponies that won't be a bad thing :Sly . I will post results after the install.

    Duke, I think we have the same channels in our hoods where the air hits the front grill and pushes past those rubber flaps then goes up into the top of the hood and then it makes a 90 degree angle into a larger chamber before the rubber boot that connects to the filter housing :confused: LOL...

    As far a restrictions goes I was thinking of the way the air gets to the filter. The air has to make a few 90 degree turns before it gets to the filter. Maybe it wouldn't make a difference I was just curious if anyone had tried or thought of changing the ducting and filter setup.
