Put a 1/4" rigid coupling in for my EGT probe. Fitted Russ's two piece cross over pipe, tacked it and pulled it back out for a bench weld.

They are stainless freeze plugs, every other one appears to be perfect. I'm not really sure why it went. This is the second one though so the curiosity has me as well. Engine comes out next time.

Some before and after pics of driveline components. The combination of soot from leaky up pipes and oil made for a black coating of mess.

A couple weeks ago I lost a freeze plug behind the clutch. Needless to say, this prompted a bunch of repairs including:
-ceramic clutch from Pheonix Friction.
-replacement 093 up pipes from Russ.
-new o rings and grommets for the turbo pedestal thanks again to Russ
-ZF shift boot from Ford...
I have a family member looking for a truck. Hes narrowed it down to a crew cab long bed 4x4 5 speed diesel.
He found this one while looking. I figured I'd ask if anyone is close enough to check it out if things get serious...
125 gallons of mineral oil on board to offset some cost. Winning! Keyara has been busting her butt getting the camper ready while I've been finishing up some side work. We should be on the road sometime before noon tomorrow.

I decided to bring out the Superduty tonight and replace the rear brake lines. Come to find out the hoses and lines that go across the rear axle are one piece units from the factory. Napa has the left one as a one piece unit but the right one comes as a hose with a banjo bolt connection on one...

My old chipper has a 2.3 Lima engine and a broke indeed system. I found this newer chipper with a blown Perkins Super cheap. The immediate plan is to put my running 2.3 on it to have something to use.
I had the brainstorm to put an IDI on it. Even a N/A engine would be a beast on a 12" chipper...
My battery guy is picking up the battery tomorrow. I spoke with him on Friday and the manufacturer will be involved in a possible insurance claim.

I'm thinking about building a battery box under the bed, behind the starter. Good idea, I'm definitely going to go about the rebuild in a proactive manner.

Good thing I decided to go outside last night and good thing my truck houses a fire extinguisher. I walked out the front door and fire was coming out from the passenger side wheel well. Quick thinking and good reaction had the fire extinguished in about 30 seconds. Inspection today reveals that...
