    Did some towing of late. Brought this machine home from Baltimore, Md. a few weeks back. 15k trailer, 22,500lb combined gross wt across 4 state lines, 60-65mph the whole way. 9.5mpg for the trip home hauling its heaviest. Not too shabby! Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

    It most likely rides that rough because the thing is bouncing off the worn out bump stops. This is why springs are that important. Most people say that when they lift (suspension) their truck, it rides better, that's because they are not bouncing off the bump stops anymore.

    IDI 0-60 Times

    0-60 times are a great reference if you can do them consistently and without legal interference. I am right at 9 seconds. I can hit 60 at the top of 3rd with 4:10's, that helps.

    Testing vacuum (hard brake pedal)

    You should be able to push down on the pedal with the truck off for a minute with minimal loss of vacuum. There is a list of tests in the factory service manual that are very helpful in diagnosing vacuum problems.

    Many people have commuter cars and only use their trucks when they need a truck. My truck was my only vehicle until I got a company truck so I put quite a few miles on it. It sat a lot and I still managed to put almost 70,000 miles on it in 6 years. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

    I am surprised that Calvin has never shed light on this subject. I always thought the 16" wheels were a weak spot on the F-Superduty. Problem solved!!!

    We have had a dyno event for the past 3 years. Last years wound up being cancelled due to lack of interest so I decided to do a 1/4 mile track event in place of the dyno event to change it up a bit.     why are these trucks so rare?

    Pay attention around me, the IDI's are still toughin' it out and doing work duty. You have to pay attention though, these work beasts rarely stand out, quiet, stock exhaust, half beat to death but still plugging along.

    I have a 2001 f250 with 325,000 miles on it. I know the hpop is recently replaced and the trans has been rebuilt at some point with what seems to be a very nice program for firm shifts and tc lockup through 2nd 3rd and 4th. 3:73 gears, stock tires, and 4wd ext cab short bed. The engine starts ok...
