    I pulled a wheel and drum today. Are our lug nuts some sort of locking lug nuts ? They sure are hard to get on and off! Rear shoes are 3 inches wide. Not as bad as I had thought they would be. My noise was the self adjuster cable. its broken and flapping around inside the drum.

    Don't scrap it. Sell it either running or part it out. They don't make new ones,nobody offers aftermarket parts to speak of either.

    What does a semi and floating axle mean? Mine is 8 lug and the axle shaft can be unbolted and removed if that helps.

    I'm sure that I'm due for rear shoes. The parts stores have 2 sizes. One being 3 inches wide and another only 2.5 inches wide. Any idea what an 87 F250 would have? Or do I have to pull a wheel to find out?

    Extending coolant change interval (switching coolants)

    Watch out for some of the long life,all makes all models coolants. Many are based on Dexcool. They will eat the solder out of radiators,heater cores and oil coolers.

    Oh i got lucky with the fuel lines. Someone else had already cut them and spliced them with rubber hose and clamps.

    Thanks. My idi is nothing like this power stroke. I dont need special tools to work on that and its silly to buy the tools for a 1 time use.

    Ya that's it. They showed some special tools to get the fuel lines off which I dont have and I can't afford to buy with tax season here ( dont ask,my wife goofed on the deductions).

    I have to install some sort of fuel pressure solonoid looking deal on a 1997 power stroke. I have no idea what its called or what it does. It has like a 3/4 nut,then the electrical part slides off then there is a 1-1/8 nut on the body of the thing. I can see it way down on the fuel filter...
