I know that just 1 bad glow plug will make the controller click a lot and the light go off instead of staying on 8-10 seconds.
The solenoid I thought had something to do with the glow plugs is for the starter. Figured that out @ lunch when I put 12v to it. So like usual I am lost.
A few years...
That is a common misconception. R134a Is MORE efficient than R12 was at removing heat. R134a can overload an R12 condenser and cause poor cooling and high head pressures. The r134A condensers are designed to handle the increased load from R134a.
Ok so since anything electrical completly befuddles me what about that thing that looks like a starter solonoid from a 70's ford car or truck?
Isn't that part of the system too? Where do I start?
Now my system seems to work but the engine will not start. The wait to start light stays on the usual 8-10 seconds.
It just cranks and cranks. Once it does start after 10 or so seconds it does not rev up like it does when I had air intrusion
Can the GP relay light the light on the dash...
many years ago GM did oil testing. Back when only straight weights were available and I assume gassers. Anyway. They ran thinner and thinner oils to see where the failure was. They were unable to kill the main and rod bearings in the test engines even with the thinnest oils.
We played with variable tubes and had no luck. They work a few days then stick.
The aftermarket cycling switches are not adjustable. They do have a screw in the center but turning it breaks the switch.
The T19 takes sae 40 or sae 50 engine oil. Do not put 80w90 gl5 oil in it. It takes about 3.5 qts.The transfer case takes ATF and it takes about 2.5 qts.
I don't have a block heater. It fell out one day so I put a freeze plug in it's place. Didn't think I would ever need it in the desert
I put motorcraft glow plugs on it about 7 years ago. I fixed the wire for them that burns up at the connection too. I did clean my battery cables today. No...
Truck has always started with 1 cycle. Lately it has needed 2. I turn the key on,wait 8-10 seconds for the light to go out but it does not start. I turn he key off and glow it again and it fires up.
