The oil cooler bundle will interchange from 85' 6.9 to 03 7.3. The oil cooler heads are what is different.
IDIT and PS have more fins in them than idi's but they will interchange
As for commuting, I had an 86, 6.9 c6 with 3.55's. I once got 20mpg on a trip but usually got 14-16 driving 55 miles one way to work running 60-75 mph the whole way.
As for the tach you can put one in the dash. I do have a factory tach dash that i painted silver with blue needles and hated it...
The newer radials are much better. I've "tuned" an M1165 soft top to M1167 specs (and then some more fuel and timing) and it would run 75mph comfortable with a haze of black some.

Stock is turbine housing is 1.15..... 1.0 will choke it off a bit on the top but ditch the smoke at the bottom from a quicker spool.
If I had big tires and highway gears I'd go for a .84 since you'd be in the bottom of the RPMs most of the time

^^^ took me 4 idi's to say I am not putting another one of those in a truck. Been very satisfied with the PSD route I took

Flatbed has been really smokey since it got the baby swamps and a PHP put on it.
Gots to thinking maybe it's time to freshen up a turbo as mine looks original (258k).wheel shows signs of age and it has a little bit of play. I have a spare that seems nice and tight but was wondering if one of...
And your sure it wasn't like this before you changed the oil?
Probably from putting that tester on and giving it too much pressure.

Unscrew the oil filter, empty and fill with Lucas.
Had an engine that had a wrist pin tap. After a Lucas treatment it was good for about 800 miles.
I put 10k on that engine before I sold the truck, drove 110 miles a day and every tap sounded like it was about to grenade.

The disc freeze plugs "bite" as they expand. Cup style just expands and hold. Both have been used for a 100 years and work.
That being said I prefer the disc style. I've never used this special tool and never had an issue.
In your case I would put some JB weld on them and give them a gentle...
I have a Kent Moore meter for sale. It's in working order and has the green colored screen.
It is missing the 1/4 line clamp piece.
Make an offer, I no longer need it.
No this isn't for some crazy build, it's actually for a 3208. My White 4-180 quit running on me, pump is full of rust. Preferably a pump from an agriculture use but I can change the governor housing if it's from a truck.
I had both trucks. It was literally everything. Right down to the damn windshield wiper motor. Every single harness was different as I suspected going from a mechanical engine and electric transmission to an electric controlled engine and standard transmission.
It still sucked.
He said spacers on the inside and out side of his dual wheels. 2" from hub to inside wheel, 2" from inside wheel to outside wheel. That be roughly 4" minus the inside rim width.
