I have a set or two...or three of spindles if you want a set cheap.
I also agree with all of the above. Good bearings, knurle the spindle a bit with a center punch and put green loctite on. Probably won't move anymore after that
Check glow plug brand. If they are autolites or champions unscrew them and throw as far as possible. Then screw in beru motorcraft plugs. Some auto-rx plugs are ok but some swell tips
A finned tube type cooler is good, a plate type is not.
My farm truck has a Saginaw pump from a van and a used a tube type cooler. Thing steers amazing.
My bronco I used a transmission plate type cooler with 35's and a factory pump. Maybe 1500-2000 miles on that set up and the pump is about...
Either no power to the FSS or I've seen pumps "gunked" up from sitting. IF you unhook the wire that is closest to you, with the key on, on the right of the pump (looking at it from the front) and it makes a click noise when you hook and unhook then it's most likely good. If it does that try to...
Do you think the alh will handle the weight?? I feel my 2000
Golf with 153k on it is kinda sluggish and it's a 5 speed. I see you plan on some upgrades, just curious on your thoughts
If it's off the frame it shouldn't be a problem. I've cut a truck in half and set the front half facing rear and the rear half facing forward and they took it.
I've also heard of a few yards that if it's burnt there is no questions asked.
Shouldn't be much of a problem getting rid of it
3.55's aren't toooo terrible but my farm truck will get 4.10's before too much longer now that it's not my DD.
The 95 is a "better" axle than the earlier sterling a because it has a loner pinion and yoke. Suppose to help with them coming loose and longer pinion life. IMO the sterling is a much...
That's actually a filter for a hmmv. I want to move the battery and build a little box to separate some under hood air then build a ram out toward the grill for some nice fresh forced air.
Yet another work in progress.
This is a trick question... When I'm dragging bigger loads I let that truck scream. My c6 will do 60mph in second so thst usually how I try to hit the bottom. If it needs it I drop to first and let it scream. These engines will hold the R's just fine.
Just don't turn the governor spring past...
Please, tell us how you really feel about this subject... And don't hold back this time...
Just pickin on ya Al.
Honestly you just want a hint of black when you gun it. Anything beyond that is a waste.
Of course your getting better mileage.... Before you'd have to buy those 4 gallons of fuel, now they are free. So technically your going farther on the same amount of purchased fuel... Just the way I like to look at it even though it's wrong.
Anytime I sell one I try to go for the most $$$ (obviously). What Ill do is tell the buyer to come check it out in the truck to listen to it run then i offer to pull within a few days and deliver for free within 50 miles. Half up front half on delivery. Sounds fair to me at least.
