    Hard starting for my 7.3

If you removed your pump and put it back on, first thing you should recheck is your timing. That's what comes to mind for me... Never-Have-I-Ether

    Alternative Fuels: Product/Kit Recommendations

Yup, my route is to market to beginners and home users who don't have space. Most other suppliers market towards high usage users and the small time user is left in the dust it seems. Currently trying to set up a 2 barrel filter system with a centrifuge. Settling/collection tank which goes...

    Actually retrieving WMO

So I called Fill Rite today, the hand crank pump works in both directions, so you can siphon the fuel out of the barrel into the your container, then reverse the crank and it'll pump out of your mobile container into another barrel you have. So that's a good cheap option around $300 for the pump...

    Alternative Fuels: Product/Kit Recommendations

Haven't completed it yet, I'm still in the process of making it. Started out as school project for web design, decided if I'm making a website might as well be useful and something I enjoy. I found some centrifuges that get up to sufficient rpm. Hopefully I can afford a bulk purchase...

    Actually retrieving WMO

I am going to be upgrading to a fillrite transfer pump or hand crank pump. Currently the shop had a pump for people to come and fill up whatever tank they had. Getting my own so I can go to more shops. One option is to get an in bed auxiliary tank and don't plumb it into your fuel lines. Just...

    Tuner for IDI

There's no "tuner" for these engines. Tuners are for computer controlled engines. These IDIs are mechanical, so in order to "tune" them, mechanical changes are necessary. Never-Ether

Glad to hear your going to rebuild it! Good time to save up and do a complete rebuild and paint, rubber replaced, suspension, and such. Never-Ether

No title free truck worth it?

I do know front clip swaps are popular on the brick noses. I don't know if there is a variation, look up clip swaps and you'll find information on it Never-Ether

No title free truck worth it?

Well Do check the VIN if you don't know the person. Last thing you want is a stolen vehicle... swap sounds interesting. Keep us informed. Bodies are the same far as I know, relatively easy swap. While you're at it consider sound dampening material. Never-Ether

Too much fuel filtration, microns and WMO

Long as you have fuel pressure maintained there isn't a problem with multiple fuel filters, though you want to be within reason. My set up has 3 filters and I run a Holley electric fuel pump. Just watch your fuel psi. If it's too low a filter is clogged your pump isn't strong enough. Rule of...

    Crusty burnt injector

Oof, pretty nasty looking. If the cylinder is damaged you should try getting Rockauto or the company to pay for an engine rebuild for a faulty injector. Never-Ether

    Motor oil pain plug repair

That's better than what I was thinking, I'd still stick with a bolt imo. Pretty interesting though.

    Motor oil pain plug repair

The problem with a valve on the oil pan is in the freak accident it opens some how....not worth the risk. Maybe a special valve your speaking of?

Glad you made it out Laine, even if most of the truck is built from other truck parts, it's essence is still there.

I filter it while I drive. I have a custom filter set up down to 2 microns that fuel pumps through then a water filter.

    Alternative Fuels: Product/Kit Recommendations

Howdy! Making a website that will be selling kits and accessories for wmo and wvo. I have found many websites out there to be outdated and not sell good kits. My website will be modern and tailored towards kits for filtration and heated fuel systems. Once I get the website up and it's...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Ah, I know who you are. Still have that same truck? I want to experiment with it, however I don't want to over hype it like it was years ago.....

    Fuel filter changes?

Yes two of the same filters. I'm going to change the filter head though so I can run a 15 then 2 micron filters in a series for better filtration. It's not terrible and won't gum up. What do you think would gum up? If you decide to stick to stock filter head, rather than trying to patch it up...

    Fuel filter changes?

I deleted the entire filter bracket and went with an after market fuel filter bracket for under the truck. I deleted mine because it's a specialty fuel filter and it's prone to air leaks. This is what I have:

    Ferret V765-01

Basically it gets a pulse from the injector line and coverts it into an electric signal "dummy spark plug" for the timing light to read off of. Thats it in a nutshell. Yes, you need it to time a diesel via the pulse method which this is.

So what did you do with your truck today?

So someone on here shared this thread. I'm absolutely flabbergasted with it. Whoever it was, thank you very very much. I suggest everyone read this thread, it starts out in a teasing manner, get over it. It gets into hard data eventually and you have to follow Crossbones communication patterns...
