Make sure it's cranking fast. If you keep cranking your draining the batteries fast. Make sure it's getting jumped or has battery charger.
Your certain of fuel pressure? Takes a bit to drain the air out of the lines without an electric pump.
I'd change the fuel filter and fill it with ATF, try...
I thought about it, but I don't want fuel line running all the way up and over on the top of the aux tank. Just vulnerable for something getting thrown on it up top.
Good idea, I'll see if I can make this work. I have two metal washers that came with the bard valve. The nut is super thin, about 1/8-3/16, not super impressed with it. A rubber valve may grip it more eh?
Ok, I have my hard adapter. Now here's my next problem. Trying to run the return line to my aux tank, how do I bolt it on? It's a nut on one side, so I can drill it out, but I can't get my arm to reach in there! Only thing I can think of is using a grinder to cut out a square, then bolt it on...
The surface was spitting clean. Used a wire brush and had it cleaned good. Will order a new ring I guess, though it looks fine the one I have. Will also try bending the ring a but and using lube. Contemplating gasket sealer, not sure how the diesel harshness would be to it.
Currently have 10...
So on my rear tanks, I can't seem to get the fuel sender/pickup to seal without leaking. It's simple, rubber ring then use the lock ring to hold it in place. Am I supposed to use glue? I have legit dropped the tank 8 or 9 times and it's still leaking. Why won't it seal?
If you want the WTS light, just cut the blue wire, and attach it to the ground for a momentarily switch. Then it turns on whenever grounded from the switch or controller.
You could turn it by tapping a flat head screw driver into the lock cylinder and forcefully hammering it into place, breaks all the pins. The you can just turn it and your good to go. You'd need a lock cylinder and key of course, might as well change out all your locks at same time. Probably...
If you could do a before and after dyno of the type 4 cam that would be awesome. No dyno sheet with just a cam swap exists, and it would be nice for someone to post the information.
I ordered one that has npt threads and uses two washers as seals. I had read of it working for people. Don't like the rubber for reasons you mentioned.
Many good points. The air seems to be the biggest issues especially with filter changes. I will not recirculate the fuel knowing this now, and will return the fuel to the aux tank.
Does anyone have links to a valve? Compression valve to bolt on to the tank? Can't find any easily, and I lost my link.
That's a good idea @IDIBRONCO, running WMO/ATF so I need the separate tank. May end up having someone weld a second valve in. Or figure out how to attach one
No, I am keeping the rear tank and replaced the side tank with an auxiliary tank that I would like to plumb to the selector. I ran a filtration system on the frame and don't have the space for the side tank anymore.
I have a 93 F250 which I deleted my side tank on. I'm plumbing the fuel line from the aux tank to the selector. A problem posed though is how to return the negative fuel line. I only have on valve on the aux tank. Is it possible to T the return line back into the positive line before the fuel...
What app? Looks good
Putting an Aux tank on the truck today.

How long was your filter there? Did you turn the fuel up yourself? Ever replace the filter yourself before this? These tanks and fuel lines have 30 years worth of rust and grit in the tank and fuel lines. Filter picks up quite a bit. I'd suspect that the IP was turned up for a loss of power due...
So on my set up the fuel runs into from a Holley Black to a Holley psi regulator which has a fuel lab psi gauge built in. I'm assuming it has a check valve correct? Are check valves more of a optional thing to have on an electric fuel system? Haven't heard anything to warrant one since the...
I recommend an electric fuel pump. Also I would not get he Holley Red, I believe it is underpowered for diesels as the fuel is thicker density than gasoline. I recommend the Holley Blue minimum or Holley Black. Most people use the Facet 40222 which has great lift capabilities and can be mounted...
