    Do you have a chip plugged into the computer? If so that could cause problems. I has a similar problem on mine except it would start back up. Pulled the chip runs fine now .

    I have always like little diesel rigs. Had a Datsun 91 with a 6 cyl one , great car and also a Audi 4000. When we where in Costa Rica a number of years ago they had diesel cars like we have gas ones.

    Not 100% sure , but I do believe there is a difference in a dually and cab/ classic dual rear end width.

    I bet that was interesting. In all the years working on engine never saw or had a engine scatter while running it. But did have to rebuild a few.

    Factory ones have a 1/2 head on them, and some of the older gas engines used the same style.

    Mine is a BW 1356 and they did not start using them until 1987 , mine also has a slip on the back .

    Personally I would not do it. To much stuff to change. Lots really , would only consider it if had another complete gas truck to get all the needed parts.

    I would disagree with this . I have a 90 IDI with 134a, all factory system, in it. Puts out very cold air even in 90 + temps.

    I use these on my 93 dually, works good to keep the truck and load level. I pull a equipment trailer with mine that hauls 15000# on it.

    truck problems

    Must of been filter. Drove 140 miles to where they where put a new on in . Acted little funny and died couple times for about 30 miles . After that drove it 110 miles home did not miss a beat. So hopefully that was the problem.
