    Need more gears.

when I first got my 93 IDIT dually it had the 4.14 low in it worse truck I ever for pulling a heavy load. Had to be careful on inclines starting out, had to rev it up to get going . and backing up was just as bad. Now with the 5.72 low can just let out on the clutch with out killing it and still...

From what I have read and researched both the close ratio and wide ratio transmission where used with IDI diesels.

That is why you need the wide ratio ZF5 5.72 :1 . Did that in my 93 dually and it made a puller out of it. I pull 18 to 20k behind mine and have no trouble starting out on an incline. Plus you have 5.24: 1 instead of 3.79: 1 in reverse. Pulled my part out of a 4x4 IDI case so they are out there.

    7.1 IDI???

If an sleeve is put in correct it takes a lot to get one to move. In all the ones my dad did I don't ever remember one coming back because it moved, 50 yrs of doing them. Although on a lot of them he did leave a lip at the bottom.

    Non- OEM parts

Well after going to parts store to check on things I stand corrected and learnt something. Seems that parts store one are a cap and filter design. Where as the Ford is pretty much just Motorcraft. Guess is a captive part on Fords side. Kind of surprised me.

    Non- OEM parts

I am talking about the filter itself, OEM one get them at pretty much any parts house. The filter and cap that was on mine I have no ideal where to get the same with out running all over town to try and find. So I f I was in bad need of one would be out of luck.

    Non- OEM parts

Well I don't want any stupid aftermarket filter and cap that I may not be able to get anywhere. I will stick with the OEM style filter that I can get pretty much anywhere. Thank You.

    Non- OEM parts

So am servicing my E99 PSD this after noon. Pull the fuel filter to put in a new Motorcraft one, new one does not fit the cap right. so run to Ford to see what is going on. Well someone put a non- Ford filter and cap on. Ford had a new on. Everthing fit and went back together just right. To the...

    Need help with new IDI

Kind of the way I am, but on a stock truck I kind of like sticking with OEM style parts. It solves a lot of normal problems. If one is boosting things for more HP that is different. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327A using Tapatalk

    4X4 Manual hubs or automatic?

On my 99 dually have auto hubs , to me they are so nice around town pulling my trailer, little slick just turn the button. If they ever go bad they are getting replaced with the same.

    New Fuel Tank kit

Did they supply the parts? If so they should make it right. If you bought unless they are real nice it will more then likely be your dime to fix sad to say. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327A using Tapatalk

    E250 blower motor resistor location

It should be just to the right of the blower motor, between blower motor and engine.

IMO NAPA ones fall in the cheap / not lasting group. Got one in my 99, getting about time to buy a good one,

    Ignition Help for a friend

That is normal when it breaks , you go down to the switch itself to operate it. Use like a Philips screw drive to stick in where the rod goes. the white plastic connector is the ignition switch.

    Ignition Help for a friend

What is broke is the steering column lock actuator, pain to change is have not done it before. It controls the steering wheel lock and the ignition switch by the means of a rod. You can go down to the ignition switch , lower on the column and operate the switch there, off, run, start, although...
