So what did you do with your truck today?

If only you weren't at the other corner of North America.... And what's funny is that there's another member with my user name but no space between the words!!!......of all the nerve.....as Barney Fife would say......

It'll keep you outta trouble, messing with that stuff. How many people could use a good cement mixer project so they could occupy their mind with something productive...... like Portland cement mixing instructions?

Unknown starting issue. Problem almost certainly lies with operator.

I strongly support everything said here..... maybe after running it a while like this do an ATF soak with a new fuel filter.

We call that the "electric choke" on our carbureted diesels...

Good call..... On these old carbureted diesels, you have to set the choke by pressing the acceleration to the floor once........ lolol I'm kidding I'm kidding!!!! But yeah, it's a simple but possibly an overlooked thing, FLOOR IT TILL IT FIRES!!!

7.3 idi crank but no start

Welcome to the forum! And you gotta bad wire somewhere. These old trucks have a way of building up corrosion inside the battery cables right next to the battery terminal connector...... it's weird. Jiggle the cable a bunch, check for continuity with a electrical meter. You got this!!! Edit...

It's..., well....okaaayyy. when you're vacationing in Florida, bring it with you and I'll run a router around it and soften up the edges. It does look VERY "Centurian" custom truck though. Tell your dad "Great job"......needs a router though......and a clip board clamp on the top......

So what did you do with your truck today?

I'm convinced that these trucks can crank up better with a rolling start then any glow plug, ether, or power master can do. If I had a good enough hill, I'd park it at the top every evening and pop the clutch to get going in the morning.

So what did you do with your truck today?

My then girl friend, now wife had a 84 3.8 V6 t-bird when we got together, 26yrs ago. My dad thought it was great that my girlfriend had a t-bird, it was his favorite year...

He came for the Power Master starter information.....but he stayed for the IDI education.... It'll be the Honda 3 wheelers that seal him.....

These guys are ALL ABOUT a power master starter! I personally can't afford one and like the modern style that uses a planetary set up, they spin like the Dickens!!! Does anyone remember when we were discussing power master and a couple of you guys actually toured their facilities? I feel like...
