    Changing Transmission Fluid.....

    Use Mercon V only. Mobil 1 is good if you decide on the synthetic route. Other mystery fluids can to this tranny into a very expensive repair bill. Unless you find damage the pan gasket is reusable. As for the filter, Ford or Wix.

    Most likely the IPR valve has failed. Many times the truck will start when cool or cold. unless it has completely failed. As for the #8 injector. most scan tools will fail that one being a different type. I wouldn't bother with that. Deal with the IPR first.

    Harsh upshifts in a "rebuilt" E4OD. Found only one spring in each accumulator valve.

    Install the shift kit and go from there. I would go with another Tugger kit. Drill the calibration plate on the small side.

    The E4OD out of the box is tough, not bullet proof. If you want bullet proof you will need some $$$$. Did the shop go through the pump or replace it. Low pressure will cause clutch drift. Either the pump or converter is bad. I second the Racer X converter.

    Scan it for codes. Hunting can be caused by low/high fluid levels, or TPS is out of range.

    No forward gears with working reverse is usually loose feed bolts. Electronic issues will not totally kill all forward gears.

    If you have no forward gears the tranny will have to be pulled. There is an internal failure.

    The harness should be the same. Idle control for the PTO is through the AIC box.

    I had to see what they offered. A billet converter is good,better than a stamped cover. They don't say how many disk in the converter. Multi disk is the way to go. Two disk is good. Three is best. The "cooling pan" isn't needed. A bigger cooler is a must. If the pan is...

    Either the forward clutch failed, or the feed bolts have backed out. Feed bolts can be re tightened. The clutch require rebuilding.

    Converter lock up seal.

    Go ahead and plug the holes. They are for the waist gate solenoid.
