Update: I checked all my lights and blinkers. All working fine. Checked wiring harness. No sign of wires pulled, chaffed, or damaged. Have driven the truck 5 more times since my last post and it shifts fine. Boy, this one is a pain the A** to figure out. I'll keep looking.- Titojeep

Update. So it's 77 degrees here in Atlanta. Just drove the truck 5 miles and no issues. I did hit the over drive off button at 50 mph and I do have to clarify that this simulated my issue exactly. In other words pressing on the brake only made the rpm go up a little. Turning off the od...- Titojeep

Been tied up at work, but had a chance to check for damaged wires on side of tranny. All looked good. Drove truck around as well and no issue. I'm leaning towards some electrical issue as you all have suggested. I'll keep digging this weekend.- Titojeep

UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE - RESOLVED PROBLEM 4/19/14 - 900RPM roughness. Replaced water pump, and she's back to normal. No more vibration / roughness. So thought I'd post a quick update. Just came in from outside checking the temperature as suggested above. Very quickly I noticed that my fan was not moving correctly. I turned off the engine, grabbed the fan, and discovered my water pump bearing is bad although not leaking yet. I can move...- Titojeep

Sorry, I guess my post may have been a little mis-leading. In frequent use of the vehicle actually doesn't mean sit's long enough for fuel issues. Sorry about that. Gotta reach out again to my fellow IDI experts. My engine has a rough / weird running at 900 RPM. Sort of feels like missing a cylinder, but don't think it is. Popping noise in front end when turning or flexing?????
New UPDATE - So I found a loose bolt on the stationary side of the driver side I beam bracket. That took care of the larger pop, however didn't notice ( i guess because of the louder pop) that there was also a smaller pop. Still looking fot that one. I followed the TSP procedure, but no luck...- Titojeep

Popping noise in front end when turning or flexing?????
Forgot to mention it's 2wd. Sorry about that. As for bolts on fenders I've done all of that. I tried going to the Tech service bulletin link listed above but I'm not a member so couldn't log in. I'll copy the number and do an internet search. Sounds like that's the info I was looking for...- Titojeep

Popping noise in front end when turning or flexing?????
So I've been told that our trucks are prone to some rivet coming loose in the front end resulting in a popping noise from a cross member or something. The noise sounds like a ball joint, however just replaced those, along with the bushings and still have the same noise. Anyone with the same...- Titojeep
