i have a question for some of you guys who have tranny guages in the 6.0 automatics. where does the sender unit tie into the tranny at? I'm thinkin about getting guages which would be the reason for the fuel pressure question and now this one.
I run amsoil in mine and have not had a problem. But for the winter i decided to run 10w-30 instead of the 5w-30. It's just a cost difference. And now that i put the light oil in it, the truck doesn't idle at 1000 rpm's when i start it when it's cold.
I did it to mine. Not much louder in the cab, but outside it's pretty loud. EGT's are also down. When you get on it and rpm's are up around 2500 to 3000 it has a grunt kinda like a big block. I like and I would do it again
I agree with theshyguy. when you make bio-diesel you mix methonal and lye (which both can be found local stores in small amounts) and the is what gives you methlyester. It seperates the glycerin out of the oil (fats)
