Sqeaks When Hubs Are Locked In
High all, My '94 F350 has a rattle/squeak when I lock my hubs in 4wd. It doesn't matter if I have the 4wd engaged or not. At slower speeds, it sounds more like a rattle but anything above 10mph or so and it sounds like a squeak (like a bad u joint). As soon as the hubs are unlocked, it's...- SlimF350

I got a new muffler this weekend
Compared to a BS glasspack?...yes. For a quality, hand built, American made muffler...no. At $160, it'll outlast your truck. If you talk to any old timer that ran these on their car back in the day, they'll tell you they junked the car and saved the mufflers. My big concern was since I do so...- SlimF350

The longest body is 20" with 3" end (total length is 26" I believe), but they do offer custom sizing.- SlimF350

Here's a shot of it installed. I didn't weld anything because I want to upgrade to 4" exhaust later. It's pretty quiet with the factory 3" pipe still on it, but I like how it sounds when I get on it. What do you guys think?- SlimF350

It's stainless steel packing. 16 gauge body with 12 gauge caps. The original design is from the 30's and I think you see that a lot with older mufflers (Porters, Smittys, Thrush, etc).- SlimF350

My stock muffler finally gave up the ghost and I had to get a new one. I got a muffler from Porter Mufflers based here in MN. It's a 5" body with a 3" core (straight through, not chambered). I still have the factory exhaust and my truck is bone stok with 300k miles on it. Now, full...- SlimF350
