Now my tach is reading funny (says I'm idling at 300 rpm) so I will have to get a new sensor before I can test the no load rpm cut-off.
I think I seen that Howes at my Menards, I'll pick up a bottle.
I have revved the truck at idle and it flattens off the same as under load but wasn't watching the tach to see what rpm it was, I will check again...
I will try the atf in the filter, nothing to lose I guess, as far as fuel additives I have run nothing except ill add some 2 stroke oil one in...
Thanks for the heads up icanfixall on the ebay pumps...couldn't I test the output pressure to see if the inj pump is failing? I've read a ford bulletin saying so, but don't know where I get this test fitting adapter to get my gauge on the pump.
I'd hate to spend money on a inj pump if thats not it.
You can hear the exhaust hiccup at idle (like a miss). Feels like decent pressure at the tailpipe but suppose muffler could be plugged?
I ordered a holley red elec pump with a block off plate and will try that, maybe it will help with the long crank start I have also.
When you say advance...
I checked the pressure but forget what it was 3-4# around there. I will try another fuel pump or do most add an inline electric pump?
My truck does it on both tanks and it's a 89 F250 standard cab with dually conversion and dump box...I didn't see the signature box.
Thanks
Was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction on fixing this issue I have.
Truck has a C6 trans, new fuel filter and newer air filter. I've checked the lift pump pressure and it was in spec on pressure and volume.
I don't know how old the injectors are but it probably has...
Sorry if I'm jacking your post...but I'm in the same boat as you in trying to find an adapter to use also.
Does anyone rent them out on here? Could use Paypal
Thanks
