Added another IDI to the fleet
Hey now don't knock the gas beater lol. Saves short tripping my diesels if I need to run somewhere quick and close, and I'd rather rack up the miles on it commuting to work a short distance away. I'm not a car guy really at all unless it's got a v8 lol so I got a couple beater commuter trucks...- Saskredneck

Added another IDI to the fleet
My two are in the second driveway, got my buddies boat and my 6.0 is beside the boat. Definitely the cleanest IDI we got mine are both pretty rough lol- Saskredneck

Added another IDI to the fleet
Picked up this 94 IDI turbo for the wife tonight. E4od shifts the nicest out of any I've owned or drove. Needs some minor fixes but really solid truck. Ain't a rocket like my 6.0 PSD but has a hell of a lot more get up and go than my two 6.9's- Saskredneck

idi vs psd question
My 6.9's would beat my 6.0 powerstroke off the line but probably wouldn't get much more than a truck length on the 6.0 before the turbo spools and it's at 90mph before the 6.9 hits 45 mph. I could pull almost two truck lengths from a stop against my buddy's 95 7.3 with my N/A 6.9 then the psd...- Saskredneck

Are the idi's worth keeping?
Love my two 6.9'd will never get rid of them. I recently purchased a f350 CCSB 6.0 for hauling the camper, doing the heavy hauls and needed a crew cab to get the family around. Picked up a 6.0 loving it so far
Switched to 5-40 synthetic and changed everything but the front/rear diff oil three days after purchase last week. Going to install the espar this week and I will be fully ready for whatever the brutal canadian winter decides to throw my way- Saskredneck

Picked up a 6.0 loving it so far
Espar is a diesel fired heater like a webasto. Headlights were just dirty in pic, have since washed truck and they are fairly clear.- Saskredneck

30 miles on the batteries?
My alternator quit when I was up at hunting camp 500km from home, charged batteries with the gas generator and charger, boosted it and made it the whole way home without any issues. Mind you I was only running the radio and did not turn the truck off when refuelling- Saskredneck
