    Injectors with return kit

Russ, I am interested in your kits. Are the Delphi injectors new or rebuilt? I will be gone next week, but will contact you when I get Back. Robert

    i fought the Wal & I won....

How many copies of Consumer Reports do you think Walmart sells a month? I haven't trusted them since they printed that the Commodore 64 has an internal speaker. __________________ - Mel Might want to actually read the article, and especially their testing procedures, which were those...

    i fought the Wal & I won....

Just as a coincidence, The November 2008 Consumer Report did extensive testing and ratings of auto batteries. They tested 5 different groups sizes. In every size the Everstart battery, sold by walmart, rated even or ahead of the Interstate batteries, for less cost. For cold rated climates...

    i fought the Wal & I won....

Well, I have used a number of auto batteries from Walmart over the years in cars, trucks, tractors, dozers, deep cycle marine type, etc. So far no problems. I believe I have three right now that are in vehicles that are five years old at least and work fine. No idea at all why there seem to...

    alternator or regulator

I would change the regulator, it is cheap, I just put on one for 23.00 from Oreillys, and its quick and simple to change. If that doesn't do it, take the alternator off and have it tested. Most of the auto parts stores do this for no charge.

    TRANSMISSION SWAP

I have an 1987 $WD F250 with the 6.9 and the C6 transmission, would like to put in the 5 speed overdrive manual transmission in it to get engine RPMS down on the highway. If I get one of these from the same year, is it a straight bolt-in swap, or is modification needed such as move crossmember...

    replace head gaskets 6.9 diesel

Mr. Roboto, What is the ceramic block sealer and who carries it? I am not familiar with that product. As far as the Bars, I have used several times with gas engines and radiators and it has always worked. Just did not know if it would work with the high compression diesel. Also, should I...

    replace head gaskets 6.9 diesel

Thanks for the great feedback. I do believe that I will pull the engine to do this job, and probably will also put on a turbo kit at the same time. When I do get ready to do this job you'll likely see me on here quite a bit, asking for tips, etc.

    replace head gaskets 6.9 diesel

Thinking of replacing the head gaskets on my 6.9 in an 1987 F-250 with 114,000 miles on it because these seems to be a slight coolant leak on the rear drivers side. How much problem to do this with the engine in the truck, and approximately what do those heads weight? I am also considering...

    Freeze-12 Question?

I filled the old factory air conditioning system in a 69 ford truck three years ago with the freeze 12 and it still works great, no problems at all. I don't use the truck much, but it was 101 degrees a few days ago and I took it for a drive to see if the air still worked, about froze me out...

6.9 oil capacity and truck seats.

Just a couple quick questions, guys. What is the oil change capacity of the 6.9 with new filter? Also, I want to reupholster the front seats on my 1987 Truck. I see LMC has the new upholstery for seats up to 1986 and from 1992 up. Would anyone know if the 1986 seats are the same as the...

new kid on the block fuel question

After a lot of adjusting, a bit at a time, I think I have the fuel adjusting screw set about right. The power is about the same and the exhaust is about 80% less than it was. I ended up turning the screw over 180 degrees finally after several adjustments and a lot of test drives. I did try a...

new kid on the block fuel question

I really appreciate the information from you guys. Although I have operated a lot of diesel equipment over the years, I have zero experience with this engine. But I just couldn't pass up this cream puff of a truck, (It apparently spend most of it's life in a garage) and the poor seller was in...

new kid on the block fuel question

Thanks for the quick replies. I will turn the adjusting down a bit more tomorrow. I have been letting up on the pedal, but was still rolling quite a bit of black smoke. To get to my place I have to pull 5 blocks up a very steep gravel road, and even barely moving, I was still putting out a...
