I'm 59 originally from Boston now in So. Cal. I've had a few classic cars over the years. Now I like pre-smog diesels. Pre 1997 here in California
I saved my "new to me" 1992 IDI with a Banks Turbo from the tow yard. Someone put gasoline in the tank and it was just sitting... So I drained the tanks and put new diesel fuel in and fuel filter on and she runs pretty good. After coughing and sputtering for about 10 miles. The original owner left a maintenance history in the glove box with regular oil changes and SCA coolant monitoring.
OK so... I traded my 92 for a 1991 F800 with the 7.8 New Holland. It was fun but way too big so I sold it on Ebay and got lucky to buy a 1991 F350 IDI Dually with a Banks Turbo and only 87,000 miles. It's in fantastic condition. The paint peeled but everything else is unusually good.
1991 F350 XLT Dually 2WD 7.3 IDI with Banks Sidewinder bought with only 87,000 miles on it.
