    Double OD with E4OD

I don't think it will know the difference. The speed sensor is in the rear axle so it will only see the truck going faster

    Parts list

Where are you in the Chicago area? I'm interested in parts. I'm not in Illinois right now but I need to go back.

    Horn blows fuse

It shouldn't be in the steering column. If that wire is shorted the horn won't shut off. That wire only supplies ground to the relay.. The short will be somewhere between the relay and the horns.

Trailered home a 1989 F350 dump truck that looks great on the outside, but the 7.3 IDI is something else

The seals could be bad on the oil cooler. Is there any oil in the radiator?

    92 f250 idi - i beam lift? 2wd...

I don't know if this will help but I discovered a while back the 2 wd bracket is the same as a 4wd bracket on the f150. Mabye if there's a drop bracket for that it would fit?

    KansasIDI’s 1986 Ford F250HD 7.3L IDI

It did and I changed my oil. It's running smoother now.

    KansasIDI’s 1986 Ford F250HD 7.3L IDI

My truck has been doing this too. Since I'm at an oil change I poured in a can of seafoam to see if it would make a difference. It was randomly ticking warm and sometimes cold and could be rough running at times. I have put about 100 miles on it now and it seems to have cleared up so I'm going...

    6.9 IDI smoking questions

I would much rather do the work. Most of my cars and trucks were bought this way. Then I know it's right

    6.9 IDI smoking questions

Definitely plan for the worst and hope for the best. I got my 92 f250 for $120. It was going to scrap because the engine was bad. Needed glow plugs fuel pump air and fuel filters batteries and a radiator and it ran good. Done a lot of work on it since then but it's been a reliable truck.

    Loud rattle

Check your flywheel bolts. I just had this happen to my truck. At idle made noise, slow-moving got loud, and accelerating got quiet. It's easy to check. Just pull off the cover and put a wrench on them.

    Batteries

All my battery cables are soldered. One end was junk when I got my truck and the rest got replaced as they disintegrated. Used copper pipe cut and crimped. Drilled a hole for mounting and one opposite the cable so when it's heated the solder will flow through the terminal. I have done this on...

    My wife's bronco died!

I've seen those on some fords before. They're very light weight compared to the cast iron. They also turn all white and fuzzy inside if there is moisture in the brake fluid.

    Rear window dividers

Laserjock changed the windows on his truck. I don't remember what was involved to do it.

    1986 6.9 IDI - Washington

Welcome to oilburners. Sounds like you're making good progress fixing it up. The easiest way to fix the terminals is to get a connector from the junkyard and change out the bad terminals. The other wires can be tied together no problem. The factory ties everything together in one harness with...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

Beautiful battery cable work. I already fixed my original cables but now I will have to redo my work. I was in a hurry when I did it the first time anyway. And I want 31 batterys too.
