It really wasn't that hard fit in like a glove just had to watch clearance on the rear valve cover and the AC compressor though didn't have to move them just gets a little tight. If you want to do any modifications to the engine before dropping it in likke the valve springs I would do all that...- PMDant

hope this thread isnt too dead to bring back... only a month Bought it off my brother late 2010 an 84 originally had the idi and a frankensteined interior curtosey of the PO my brother got it from till the engine blew Nov 2013 Trying to pull an 80K lb tractor trailer out of the mud...- PMDant

This may be bringing this back to life but I am glad you got your swap done. I have an 84 F-250 that I did the swap on when the IDI blew up last November. Took 9 weeks and was rushed because its my DD. Took some interesting mock up but went Cummins nv4500 and np241 and made the brand...- PMDant
