no clatter but sounds like its dropping cylinders one at a time and sounds like a stick shift truck if you were to leave the clutch in and hit the brakes to a stop. but could the algae be causing the pump failures? if i werent selling the truck after i get it running id buy a nice electric fuel...- mudslut350

well i know but the reason i changed the other parts was becasue it started as an intermitent problem. it would run fine for a mile or two then die. Anyway yesterday the new pump only a week old **** out again! Left me on the side of the road in a not so good mood.-cuss All that was in the tank...- mudslut350

fuel pump solved the issue truck now runs. so before you -cuss holes ridicule me for "throwing parts at it" reason i did not do the pump to start with was the inconsistency. i would run great then die and had a light prior to the first failure. that alone turned me to the cps and the ipr. anyway...- mudslut350

well it ran fine before and it has fresh fuel in it now. I'm not going to buy ae for just one time use. i'm not "throwing parts at it" i'm changing them according to different symptoms so unless you have any helpful advise just move along. those that i have been in contact with i am grateful for...- mudslut350

Cause of fuel pump leak.
yes it is that pump mine did it too a few years ago not bad to change the 1 1/4" banjo bolt is a pain but with the right extensions and a uniwiggly its not bad. good luck- mudslut350

storm passed and back to working on it i got it together with high hopes. first few cranks no signs of life. After that it would be the same story cranking with it only seems to fire once every rotation on only one cylinder. whelp i feel like an idiot. go into looking at so many different things and turns out to be probably the most simple thing ever.
