it isn't practical to get it to the scales. how much does my truck weigh?
can anybody give me a close approximation how much my truck weighs? It is a '98 3500 quad cab long bed DIESEL dually 4wd auto. I was told casually about 8600 lbs unladen curb weight but i need to know as close as i can to how much it should weigh.... close ballpark i mean. i know nobody can tell...- JourneymanD

water/**** injection?
hey guys, thanks for all that helped w/ my broke down truck 650 miles from home. it was a bad injection pump. looking for hot shot service CA to ID
can anybody give me a hand finding a reputable hotshot service to move two trucks for me from san francisco area to twin falls Idaho? Thanks... has anybody got the instructions for the rotunda 78-0100 timing meter?
Thanks, I saw this on AZ website, but it doesn't have the timing spec, or the offset that is specified... I think it is -20degs offset prior to startup, but i don't know what I am shooting for w/ the final timing spec. It is a 7.3L w C6 trans. Dylan- JourneymanD

HELP!!! BROKE DOWN 630 MILES FROM HOME!!!
no chuffing or popping... I been to both ends of the beast to listen, and all sounds OK except for the shudder when i run the idle up. and at that, it's only a minor little shudder that seems to be inconsistent and random. HELP!!! BROKE DOWN 630 MILES FROM HOME!!!
Well, I cant say for sure how long it was... it was late, i was tired/frustrated and it just seemed like forever trying to nurse it up the hill... you know how things get when your truck buckles to it's knees and all you can to is swear or pray, and neither seems to do much good... may have been...- JourneymanD

thankyou everybody Yes, my situation sucks in a big way!!! I have ordered a new IP and set of injectors from MWFI. they should beat me to the truck 4th of july weekend. thanks agnem... I already have a 35k gvwr cooler on it. also have trans temp, oil temp, and h2o temp senders installed, but didn't get the gages hooked up yet... ran outta time. STILL STUCK IN "SUCKVILLE" By butt-o-meter I believe you mean nudging the timing and road test by way of the trial and error method til i find an acceptable "sweet spot"? also, I don't mean to drive it back this way. ANYONE ELSE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS? I will check the timing marks and see if they are close to lined up. lining em up is about the best i can do for the moment. gonna be real hard to see though as it is a van, and the pump sits under the cowl. are the base starting marks on the top of the pump...- JourneymanD
