Mmmmm yummythat dear friends cam from my radiator. I am pulling the engine now tis a 7.3 idit with zf5. Question, what have you guys found most efficient to remove to yank motor out? I'm hoping I can leave tranny attached and remove the hood and yank it without messing with the core support...- JAKRANCH

No I don't clutch dump, as stated driveline are expensive lol. I'm really leaning towards some angle or other being off. U bolts were tight but not torqued, can't really calculate angles cuz we couldn't find the back half of driveshaft afterwards. Based on what all has been said my suspicion is on the axle yoke and or wondering about a damaged differential, like if it's dragging, if that makes sense. A few miles...- JAKRANCH

Stock suspension on 33s yes on drive shaft carrier bearing, brand new when I had the driveshaft rebuilt. U joint was new and lubed up but not over lubed, tranny mount is square, truck travels straight down the road. Leaf spring are newly replaced . To the best I and several mechanically...- JAKRANCH

So I just blew the u joint that connects the axle to the driveshaft for the third time in probably 1500 or less miles, this last time I had the driveshaft rebuilt and balanced, that was certainly less than 500 miles ago. I replaced leaf springs and mounts several years ago after a tbone wreck...- JAKRANCH

Hard to see but the poly coating on these splines is flaking in sections. Drive shaft shop says it won't balance because it's flaking but no one supposedly makes the proper stub end anymore.
