What is the preferred method for lining up the axle pivot bushings on twin traction beams with leaf springs?
We ended up doing it this way. It went so easily after that. Re-attaching the axle beam to the springs was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Certainly easier than trying to pry the pivot bolts into place last. Thank you for the suggestion. To anyone doing this in the future on...- headhunter38

We tried using large chisels as wedges and got close. Ran out of wedging power with them. I think we try wooden ones then.- headhunter38

No. I didnt touch them. Im trying to save money and didnt want to take apart more stuff than I thought was necessary. Did you have the leaf spring eye bolts in first when you were doing it?- headhunter38

I need help routing this wiring harness.
Ok I figured it out finally. Took a break and worked on other parts of the truck for the last couple weeks. Someone had electrical taped the yellow highlighted wire into the rest of the glow plug harness. I just switched to it after using rotella T4 and now im having major oil consumption. I had to add 2+ qts only 650 miles after the last oil change. Bought a new truck, cant get it started. No fuel coming out of the injection pump.
Could gummed up injectors keep it from starting? I might just pull them and pop test them anyways to cover my bases. Being that the "new" IP had a stuck delivery valve and still probably has stuck plungers i wonder if the injectors are gummed up stuck. That pump had some nasty buildup in the...- headhunter38

I tried. I was able to get a little more advance out of it and it seemed even closer to starting. The passenger injector lines (only connected at the IP) and throttle bracket were still attached so I was limited on how much i could get. I think ill remove those to get even more and see how it goes.- headhunter38

Im at a loss. I took the ip and housing off. The timing is correct. I verified the y mark with a mirror and light. I dont know what to do next. Im going out of town for a week and will get back to it in a week. If anyone has suggestions for me when I get back ill give them a try. Thanks- headhunter38
