Fuel Filter Restriction/Lift pump PSI Guage

BRONCO Yes I like the gauge to. It is a Racor fuel filter gauge, Part no.18-1202; At 7" vacuum the gauge is in yellow then when at 10" vacuum it in red all the way to 30" vacuum. It also reads in metric numbers.

Fuel Filter Restriction/Lift pump PSI Guage

BRONCO I know this isn't the right gauge for the job. I will mark the gauge and if I see a change in the vacuum, I will know the filter(s) are starting to plug. Also if the psi go's up I will know there is another problem. As I see it, this setup can't hurt anything, it will help me out in...

Fuel Filter Restriction/Lift pump PSI Guage

I found a gauge that I had(30" hg to30psi) I also figure a way to do this job. I found I had a s/s reducting nipple 1/4" npt to 1/8" nft (npt=national pipe thread; nft= national fine thread ) The 1/8"nft will screw inside the brass fitting where the schrader valve is. The other end of the nipple...

Fuel Filter Restriction/Lift pump PSI Guage

Has anyone installed this gauge. This guage is mounted, when looking at the Duaramax engine, on the left side. There is a brass fitting with a black cap on it. When you unsrew the black cap, there will be a schrader valve. To my understanding this gauge snaps onto the port there, and measures...

    Front axle & Rear Differential

I have a 04 GMC Duramax and it has about 5300 miles on it. So I decided to change the fluids in the front axle and the rear differential. I found the rear diff. had only about 41 oz. in it where it should have had 64 oz. The front axle had about 24 oz in it where it should have had 32 oz. I told...

    Oil Fittings Plugs

Where the factory oil filter mount is, there are two plugs. I believe they are 1/2" plugs. I would like to find out which one has the pressure and which one is the suction. I know if I had a guage say 0-70 psi I could test them , but i don't have a guage. So if anyone, out there know's the...

    PRE-Luber

I'm thinking about installing a Pre-Luber on my Duramax. This unit will come on 15 seconds before start-up and pump oil to the engine & turbo. After shutting off engine you can set the timer for up to 6 min. this will cool the engine & turbo down with the engine oil. I was thinking of a cool...

    Fuel Line Question

Geno Thanks for the reply. I still can't see something that will turn can hold a vacuum. So far the truck is running great and no fuel leaks. I have checked it everytime I come back from a short trip. All looks good so far. If I have a problem I'm going to take the hole line out, back to fuel...

    Fuel Line Question

Roland_ Jenkins I have already installed the RK-32313. The questions is with the 1/2" steel fuel line and the braided hose. There is a connection between the two. This is where you can hold the braided hose and turn the 1/2" steel fuel line. I don't know if this right or wrong. If it is right...

    Fuel Line Question

I just installed the Racor RK-32313 fuel filter last week. When I change the fuel hoses, I notice the 1/2" steel line above the fuel cooler that go's into the braided hose, which looks like this braided hose comes from the fuel tank. Well anyway this steel line will turn at the connection...

    GM Racor Information

hheynow Yes my same thoughts. But I guess that is why they are in the parts dept. Anyone can type a # in if you have it. I was up there today, on another problem with my car that just cost me $1150.00 to get fixed (Transmission). I asked a different parts person, an received the same answer...
