I'd go with the cummins. Easiest things in the world to work on, and you can put it at 250 hp without buying any parts. Wiring issues w my 91 d250 Eating Voltage regulators
I have wiring issues atleast once a month, more often than that most of the time. 90% of the time it is a ground problem or wires are just to old and rusted and corroded. How many miles do they live?
If you tweak your injector don't expect it to last 1 million miles. Other than that they are pretty solid trucks, like someone said the autos were weak but the getrag 5 speed will handle 500k-1million miles if u stay under 250 hp.- garyjohnston
