It's supposedly a '92 F-350 Turbo Diesel with a 5-speed, but the dealer's sales people are clueless when it comes to Fords. The VIN is 2FTJW35M1NCA40930.
I know that area...I got family up there. You got pics of that truck? My brother-in-law's Mom lives there and we go there for New Year's every year.
Enable your PM's so I can get a hold of you.
I know it's been done by folks here, this is why I'm asking. I know most of the parts needed to do the swap, as well as the labor involved. But what is the cost of swapping out an E4OD for a ZF-5, in a 4x4? Yes, it's for my Bronco, not a diesel, but I'm researching whether a trans swap would...
Fords can do it all. As long as they're not overloaded and the truck is properly loaded. I'm sure the same can be said about any truck as long as it's not abused. Except Chevrolets. All they can do is fail and waste my tax dollars.
Heh heh...I wish I'd never got rid of it. It was actually a '66 Fairlane GTA. Hurricane put a tree on it a few years back. Dead 100-year-old oak tree vs. classic car. Wasn't much left of the car...the engine was in the machine shop. I'll have one again someday...
Wow. I wouldn't have done anything without making contact. I hadn't even started negotiating. But, I think I'll shop locally, or at least closer to home. I wasn't exactly looking forward to a suicide drive from Cali to Oklahoma. But this truck would have been worth it. She's a beauty.
