My friend with a van identical to yours just replaced both on his van. I believe he went to O'Reilleys for the parts. He passed on a few Chinesium replacements from other stores that didn't look exactly the same as his old parts.- DOE-SST

Thinking of making a reusable oil filter from stainless steel sanitary pipe, fishing for your thoughts.

FIPL /Fuel filter access on VANS
Looks like you've got an ambulance, which may have a different set up from vans. My 1993/94 E350 vans (with E4OD) all have the fuel filter mount under the vehicle, just forward of the loooong 38gal fuel tank. Had my side window shot out. Some tips on installs.
DONE! Went far easier than I expected for one major reason. I was able to move the window track plate up/down with the electric motor. This allowed me to move the plate into different positions to access the 1/4" rivets that needed to be drilled out. I couldn't do this at the junkyard and...- DOE-SST

Pretty sure it will fit. Didn't have a choice. went to six junkyards, lots of vans but only found one with an intact side window. Seems even minor accidents shatter most of the windows. Gonna start on it now. Sucks there are glass slivers all over. I'll probably still be getting stuck by...- DOE-SST

no wing vent. The junkyard window was stuck in the fully up position and I'm wondering if that caused most of my difficulties. I removed the window motor and cut the cables but still could not get it to move down even using a 24" prybar. BTW, the junkyard window was out of a 2001 E250...- DOE-SST

Yesterday afternoon, in Albuquerque during stop-and-go traffic. Heard a loud "whack", looked at the passenger window, saw a bullet stuck in the center of the glass, which then shattered into hundreds of pieces. Nothing unusual for Albuquerque, although the guy driving next to me freaked out...- DOE-SST

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?
Well, with my luck, holley made a bad batch that got delivered to just my area. I really don't want to buy another one. One of my other vans has used the factory mechanical pump for 250k miles. great reliability but priming the system with it sucks.- DOE-SST

Holley red electric fuel pump died after 7 months. Van started fine then psi dropped to zero and engine died. I tried a restart but failed. Got under the vehicle and touched the pump and almost melted off my fingerprints. Went to Oreillys, bought another one, just before installing I hooked...- DOE-SST

Quick, someone buy this truck
Yeah, I should have been clearer. It's not so much the paint, but the lack of body rot. I see lots of guys on here dealing with massive rust problems, which this truck doesn't have. Half-azzed paint job advice?
If it is the original paint and there is not a clear coat that is pealing, just fading color, you could try polishing the paint to remove the oxidation. That would require a cheap electric buffer, some pads, and polishing compounds. Some paints will polish up great and some won't. As a test...- DOE-SST

They aren't, but anyone can still buy these products fairly easily, even though the manufacturers say they are for commercial paint shops only. The aircraft polyurethanes I've worked with are really plastic coatings, designed to withstand extreme temperature swings from -60f to +140f as well as...- DOE-SST

What are IDIs REALLY selling for?
Thanks, These van really only need the fuel system refreshed to go back into daily driving. The were used to carry 5-man fire teams eskorting nuclear weapons and had the best possible maintenance before I bought them from Uncle Sammy. Yeah, Imron was really eye-opening for the first users. Catalyst that didn't fully harden for 18 hours. Paint an airplane at noon, 5pm it still looks great, come back the next morning to find the entire paint job on the vertical surfaces has sagged and wrinkled like a 90 year old woman's...- DOE-SST
