I added a better battery charger/tender to plug in when I don't drive for few days. I've owned the truck for 13+ years. Previous owner had told me about a parasitic battery drain maybe because of aftermarket alarm install 'he said'.
I spent over $600 having it searched and eliminated accessory...
Bilstein's all the way !!
I am no mechanic... but replacing the shocks is easy.
You don't even have to remove the front wheels.
My F350 rides firm but the Bilstein's smoothed it out a little, even the wife thought it rode better.

It has been suggested that it may be the cluster.
However... the symptoms of a bad cluster involves way more than what I have going on.
I will keep testing and see if I find anything.

trackspeeder....... in your signature you mention '6.0 Charge cooler' is this your trasmission oil cooler ? I soon plan to change out my stock tranny cooler for a 6.0 cooler. I've read several posts and how too's. It looks like a pretty basic switch over, but there is a little time required...
I had my transmission fully serviced, 22 liters of fluid change.
They used a semi synthetic and I wondered if many other 7.3 people are using this type of fluid in their auto tranny's ?

trackspeeder, I hear a lot of talk about using the Ford V10 tranny cooler, would you recommend that for my truck ?
I've read that it bolts / fits right in easily ?

I am going to get a deep sump pan for my tranny..... as recomended by my machanic.
For towing my 5th wheel etc.

Can anyone explain to me the pros and cons of multi (3) disc TC over 2 disc TC.
If it means 'harder firmer' shifts don't think I want that, or should I say the co-pilot (wife) wouldn't like it, geeezee.... I was lucky enough to get the sound deading down to an acceptable level...
