Exhaust systems in general offer little MPG gain or usable hp. Gains in Hp only occur at WOT all she'll do. That is the only time the stock system restricts the exhaust. At cruising speed your only applying light throttle and the engine is not making enough power or exhaust to create a...
The injection pump advances the timing as the engine speed increases. Under light load the timing increases even further. Under heavy load the timing decreases till the RPM's come up to a desirable level. The lever on the side of the pump controls the amount of advance according to the throttle...
Muffler is not a restriction till you get it as wound up as far as it will go. Any other speed and it poses very little difference. Straight thru Magnaflow muffler will make it sound sweet.
Piston melts at 1400 degrees
Exhaust temps should never go over 1200 for long engine life. Pistons melt at 1400 degrees. One thing a lot of people don't consider is the temp reading is an average temp reading. You could easily have one cylinder way over 1200 degrees and not even know it, till...
Please don't use an impact on the compressor wheel. The shaft is very small in diameter and it is easy to bend it. Even just a few thousandths will shorten the turbo life due to imbalance.
