i no after truck started timing was a little retarded (some smoke and lazy )so i advanced about 1/8"and smoke cleared up power came back ..- deisel379

turbo 6.9 175 hp 1984 f-350
can any one give me advice on installing turbo on my truck that has done this install ...such as....> how does it perform ?do you recemond doing install ??do i need to change injectors?can i use same manifolds?>should i vent cranckcase throught valve covers ?what about injector pump?>do i need...- deisel379

new ip time thanks for the help ..new injector pump is on the way have not checked elbow but to elemente pump in question im replaceing it yet cus its 3 degrees outside thanks again- deisel379

Aux overdrive idea
the problem with using a automatic transmisson in that application. is under load if the solenoid did manage to disingage 1st gear it would never under load engage to 2nd gear o/d though could work with standard trans.- deisel379

1984 f-350 6.9 international diesel engine--=truck billoing blue smoke engine runs abnormaly quiet ,no power truck just dies when try to go ...any one have any ideas what could be the problem????has 4lbs fuel pressure ,new filter 1/2tank fuel- deisel379
