Hey Folks, been a while. Need tanks

Hey Galute; Thanks much for the quick reply. Got any idea which tanks are which? My tanks are both done. My front one is gone altogether, and my rear is leaking like it didn't matter, and the mounts are all rusted to death. Senders are prolly all shot too.

Hey Folks, been a while. Need tanks

for my F250. It's 69oiler's old standard cab. The rust is just tearing me up. Sat pretty much all winter with bad brake lines, finally got them all replaced and have a fellow who loves these trucks keeping an eye out for a set of tanks for me. But I am so sick of dealing with rotting...

    broken tie rod end

Passenger side, freaked me out pretty bad. Fortunately I was lugging around on the lane doing road work when it happened. I was able to get it off the road, so i wasn't blocking the lane. Man, what would have happened if I were out on the hiway, I don't even want to think. that said, any...

    front axle bump stop clearance.

Thanks all for the replies. Yeah, about 1-1/2" On the side that's downhill when parked sideways on the grade :)

    front axle bump stop clearance.

on my new-old 86 (courtesy the good 69oiler) I'm trying to figure out if that 1-1/2" or so I have for bump stop clearance is correct. I haven't found any 4x4 f250s of this vintage around to look at that aren't lifted sky-high. What should I be seeing for clearance up there? thanks in...

Should have a 'no start' forum-category

To all: Got back to the truck saturday, and had another go at it. I carefully checked all the glowplug connections for anything obvious, couldn't find anything that looked out of sorts, 'glowed' it for 10 secs, no start, but white smoke as before after 10 seconds of cranking. so at...

Should have a 'no start' forum-category

Thanks Agnem; That's where I'll start when I get back to the truck next weekend.

Mech, Dunno, Yup, 6.9 Replacing money is the easy part. Ccs, DL, etc, that's the irritating bit.

Should have a 'no start' forum-category

That said; Just so I'm clear: I had the 'shuttle the truck' trip from hell weekend before last, The good natured 69oiler/Rob got me started off on the trip in good style, it was an adventure! Anyway, halfway through the trip I figured out that the WD40 smell was in fact, hot raw...

    $4.20 for diesel

Towcat; I hear ya too. I am no fan of 'there oughta be a law' either. Not in the slightest. If you feel you can afford it, but all means go for it, but I really feel the onus needs to be on the faster vehicle on the highway, not the slower vehicle, to operate in a reasonable and proper fashion...

    $4.20 for diesel

jimmys f250; I hear ya too, but like I said earlier, I don't see any actual shortages anywhere, do you?

    $4.20 for diesel

Mel; Yeah, I hear that! The *only* thing I can figure, is that folks are fueling up by swiping a card, and not digging for cash. But man, -no offense anyone, I know there are real working folks here- a lot of the larger trucks I see are just literally grocery getters, and they have no concept...
