I figure the miss when cold is from a dead glow plug causing a cylinder to misfire until it warms up.. I'm going to test them all when I get a chance. I'm then going to crack each injector line and see if that causes the tick to go away. Then I will remove the valve cover and inspect around...
I'm gona have to take a look again at the injectors I think.
Other things I have noticed. The truck is hard to start when cold even with the glow plugs. It starts up fine with it plugged in. But without it plugged in I have to throttle it some and it smokes whitish gray and runs rough for 30...
Ill get some oil additive and see if that quiets it down some. I was kinda hoping this would be injectors since the system looks original. Might just sell the truck.
I have noticed a noise from my truck at idle only it seems, at least at idle is only when I can hear it since any higher RPM drowns it out. Its not heard to much at first start but begins shortly after it seems. It sounds like a metalish tapping or clacking. I can't seem to pin point where it is...
A couple taps of the hammer loosened them up. I'll have to double check the ring clips are all the way in. They all look to be in. I don't see much more room to press the caps in further even if needed.
I was using a ball joint/u joint install kit. Pretty much a giant C-clamp
I need to get...
Here is a quick video.

Side to side the yoke swings and moves freely. But up and down has more resistance to more. but it moves if you move it by hand.
They don't bind. It's just that in some directions turn more freely. Like with little effort while another has the slightest bit more resistance. It moves all the way any direction but just some ways are feeling a tad bit more resistance turning if that makes sense?
Well I was able to get the u-joints in. The one joint by the slip yoke seems to turn with a little less freely than the other. is that normal? Maybe it needs grease?
I'll give it a shot and try to file it down and press in some new joints. I would just hope it would be okay and if not I hope it doesn't mess up the differential yoke. It is on the differential side that the issue is on.
I went to change my u-joints today. The drive shaft came off the truck easy. The old u-joints even came out easy. But when putting the new u joints in I ran into some issues. One of the major ones is that the u-joint went into the yoke part of the driveshaft crooked and caused a ridge inside it...
