Brake problems
I had that problem with my 84 i want through 4 remanufactured masters, if is sits to long pedal goes to the floor for a couple pumps, if i adjust rear brakes up almost tight, (with a good drag) it takes care of the problem, hope that helps.- 4x4dave

Hello all, my truck is 1984 f250 6.9l bored to 7.3l rebuilt motor year and a half ago, about 10,000 miles ago, i drove it 3 days ago ran good, yesterday i tried to it sounded weird while cranking like starter kicking out, got it to crack and start oil pressure was over 120 psi, gauge pegs at...- 4x4dave

Diesel fuel for cleaning the injectors is what my dad always told me to use, he was a diesel mechanic all his life, he passed away last year. So he can't help me now i just go by what I remember he told me, unfortunately he didn't tell me how to fix white smoke.- 4x4dave

No, the pump and injectors were cleaned up and put back in, they were good when the engine went down. I used diesel fuel to clean them.- 4x4dave

Failing fan clutch?
Sorry it takes me time to get back on here, i put the fans on after engine rebuild, I have had the engine running at 105° out door temperature i only had to fire up one of four fans to keep it cool, have not pulled heavy loads yet, stock alternator drew not bad with all four running, fans...- 4x4dave

Sorry it takes me a while to get back on here, i have five kids they take priority over my truck. I have check for bubbles in fuel lines, double checked timing, still a lot of white smoke. I decided to run it longer and i noticed at startup almost not smoke at all. At 110° engine temperature...- 4x4dave

Failing fan clutch?
I chose to get rid of the clutch fan and put electric on my 6.9l f250. I built myself. They work good. Let's see if i can post some pics. The fans i got from Amazon.- 4x4dave

It seems like a lot of 6.9 & 7.3 have problems with white smoke i have read a lot about the white smoke on different forms. I'm new on this site so if I'm doing this wrong please let me know.
