ok im 85% done with the zf5 swap i just need to know how long the two piece factory drive shafts are on an extended cab pickup, mine looks like its 4.5 inches too short right now. so if anyone could grab the lengths for me id appreciate it
yea i tried all the local junkyards, theyre getting worse and worse i swear. theres one more i have to call monday as the guy put it "were closing in five minutes im not gonna send someone into the yard to look"
im almost ready for my zf5 swap into the 92, does anyone know a good source near CT for a set of pedals? the set i got with the tranny were off an 89 so i dont believe they will fit. i also need to scrounge up a clutch alignment tool somewhere.
is there anyway to tell if my DMF is good? it looks ok, im going to get it resurfaced but im not familiar with this setup to know if the springs are good or not. it does have some movement on the plate side to side. after taking the flexplate off from the e4od i discovered its bone dry back...
i bought a zf5 for my truck to fix the problems ive been having with this e4od once and for all. im going to be buying a new dmf clutch kit for it, and resurfacing the dmf flywheel. should i do the rear main while ive got everything apart? it looks like it might be leaking alittle but not too...
just read that, this guys pretty amazing and makes me want to try casting aluminum, but did you notice his homemade manifold were only 1 3/4" pipe? that seems wayyyy to small to let these engines breathe. on a side note, anyone got good ideas for melting aluminum for castings??? :D
well i bought one of those little hoses with the check valve in it to bleed, had my brother push the peddle until no air bubbles came out and did this for each wheel and the peddle still doesnt feel any better but if i pull the vacuum line off the booster i have good firm peddle that doesnt sink...
yes i adjusted the brakes already that didnt help unfortunately. i guess ill buy the power booster/master cylinder combination just to make sure everythings all set.
no i did not, im doing the 2 person one pumps while another bleeds method and its hard to tell the other person when to pump and when to hold over the sound of my truck, dual glass packs dont quiet it down much.
im having a horrible time getting brakes in my truck. the line from the abs to the rear axle was blown when i bought it so i replaced that and the everything back brake wise except the drums. so then i bled everything, RR LR ABS RF LF and still no brakes. i continued to bleed until i had bled 2...
will a 78 cab fit on my 1986 f250 frame? im looking for one to replace my new truck as its all rotted and i dont have a title to register it anyway. i found a cab with virtually no rust for 350, but im not sure if the cab was different then.
in the front????? both my 92 and the newly acquired 86 only have 2 leaves, the 92 is a dana 50 ttb (extended cab) and the 86 is a 44. 3 and 4 leaves seems like someone already did what you want to do with the drop brackets and more leaves haha
