Also the Detroit Locker. Same automatic deal, but a full locker versus a limited slip. I've heard that they can tear stuff up on a pavement pounder, but I haven't read up on it much. I may end up going this route as a Yukon Zip Locker (Yukon version of the ARB air locker) is expensive, but manually controllable.

Detroit locker will respond same way as lock rite fyi

There isnt a detroit lsd its a detroit locker or true trac...thats a helical geared torque biasing lsd no clutches

I haven't looked to far into them. So a Lock-Rite will respond just like a Detroit Locker? I thought the lock-rites would lock up under throttle were as the Detroit will differentiate through a turn under throttle.

I have seen many strap style fail off road. The bolts break right at the head, causing failure. And al, is this enough abuse? I beat the hell out of mine. I have broken ubolt style. Lol putting flanges on next.

Well VERDICT is in

C#@&$ straps it is...U bolts centre to centre does not line up with the strap bolts. IFN had milling machine with a four flute mill I would not care...but drill press and only drill bits I care.

Oh well.

Honestly I prefer U bolts had hoped it would work however nope.

No biggy...juzt a dissapointment is all.

I literally just put in a Lock-Right on Dec. 30. No write-up or anything yet as I wanted to go a few weeks so see its manners but 200 or so miles so far and I cant even tell its there in sharp paveent turns or anything. TUrning in grass I seemes to feel something but once the snow flies I can give an accurate report. It definitely does make them both spin on a loose surface! No more one-wheel-peel!

Install was a breeze. My first time truly doing anything in a differential other than pulling a carrier on a Ford 8.8. And both were so easy it hardly counts.

Bug me if you don't see anything written up in a few weeks

Yes, please post a thread about your results when you get some snow/ice time. I know I'm not the only one that's curious!

Same here. Do it properly, and you won't have problems.
